Beautiful, newly, remodeled 2 br 1 bath home (750 sq ft) within walking distance of a grocery store, liquor store, a pizza shop and the BEACH . . .what more could you ask for! Located at the end of the street adjacent to an empty lot, serenity and privacy is yours. Our location has the added benefit of always having a great breeze, while enjoying the downstairs area. A fully stocked kitchen, makes it easy to enjoy cooking and cleaning with full-size stove, dishwasher, microwave, garbage disposal and refrigerator with filtered water/ice maker, Fry daddy, toaster, wafflemaker, pancake maker, crock pot, coffee maker, Keurig ( bring your special coffee and tea pods!), bread maker, blender, wine/margarita/ champagne glasses! Large pot for lobster/shrimp. Central heat/air. Lots of windows to enjoy the outside from inside. As you sit on the front deck enjoy the beautiful sunset or drive down Bob Smith to view and/or photograph breath-taking pictures! Home is within 5 blocks of the beach, approx 1/4 a mile.
Paper products are provided to get you started. Many spices/seasonings & cooking staples. We also have left several condiments in fridge for your convenience. Bath towels/washcloths are provided. Travel size body wash, soap/shampoo/lotion provided to get you through a couple of days in case you forgot yours. Please bring your own beach towels.
Wireless Hi-speed internet is provided. LG 56 '' smart HDTV with optional Netflix/HULU/Vudu (if you have an active account) and Xbox 360 is located in main room. Over 370 downloaded movies able to be viewed on TV in main room. Most are 2015 thru 2019 with some of our older favorites. Ipod player in main room and main bedroom.
Sony Bravia 40'' smart TV in bedroom unless using phone/computer to connect. Smart TV for 2nd bedroom located in closet.. 600 thread count sheets on new Queen bed mattress (new Marriot brand mattress). Second bedroom with twin and pull- out trundle. Sleeps 4 very comfortably. More than 4 would require sleeping on an extra twin bed mattress located beside trundle bed or Intex instant fill 16 inch twin or queen blow up located in closet.
Each bedroom has ceiling fans, drawer space for your personal belongings with plenty of closet space. We have tried to think of little extras: Rowenta iron and board (in main closet), hair dryer, flat iron, sewing thread /needle, emergency medical kit, lotion, hair spray, etc.
30 or so games and a few local books are provided. A beautiful large, fossil stone and a teak table that can be expanded, hammock and BBQ pit (propane) are on bottom deck. Upstairs front porch has 2 comfortable chairs for watching sunsets. A deluxe trio bag/ladder/washer toss game, 3 boogie boards small ice chest and lawn chairs for beach are available. These items are locked up, so please let us know if you would like to use. Video camera for outside area security. We have never had any issues thank goodness! There are several great areas to fish or go flounder gigging. (Fishing license - 1 day or year - may be acquired on line or at many stores including Walmart). We also have 7 crab traps if you want to catch your own crabs. There is a driveway where 2 cars can be parked and another large area to park a boat as well.
Check in time is 3 pm and checkout time is 11. If needed earlier/ later please let us know. We will try to accommodate your request.
There is a $115 cleaning fee . A separate $500.00 Reservation/ Security Deposit is required to reserve, refundable if no damage or loss is found. House is usually inspected within hours of checkout time, so refund should be quick!
No smoking or pets anywhere on property a daily fine will be placed for any pets and /or smoking. This is an allergy free zone. Our goal is for you to spend your vacation with a smile and memories to last a lifetime. For an extra fee, we can decorate home for any special occasion, to surprise that someone special.
Boat Launch in neighborhood.
Jamaica Beach is the neighboring subdivision next to the State Park. The local police force gives you peace of mind, with their round the clock patrolling of the area. There is a bird sanctuary and a community pool (fee charged) just off Bob Smith Drive within the neighborhood.Hours are 10 am- 8
Fees are $5 per person per day. Children 6 years and under are free. (2015)
Very close to a couple of good night spots, Woody's, Nate's and the West End restaurant (has fine dining upstairs- or eat by water/dock). The Islands best Hamburgers are at the Blue Water Grill, plus they deliver. If you are in a hurry 'Subway' is under 1/4 a mile. During peak summer weeknights & all day on weekends "Shrimp and Stuff" food truck is located at car wash (within walking distance of house). Bait stores are located within 3 miles and also by West End restaurant. We have an extensive book with things to do, booking information and coupons to many of the great activities found within the area
