“The Lily Pad Exceeded Our Expectations!” One word: wow. My family & I were incredibly excited to stay at The Lily Pad after looking at the lovely photos of the property online. But wow, when we arrived it was even better than it looked in the pictures. I've never stayed at a property that is as thoroughly maintained as this place. Clean from wall to wall, with every ammenity you could possibly want & need. Great family vacation home!! This will be a staple home away from home from now for myself & my family. “Adorable Cottage in the Redwoods” We loved the little cottage in the redwoods. It was clean, comfortable, and lovely. The stove heated up the place quickly and you could open the windows to cool the place down quickly. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, and there was a wonderful stereo if we wanted music, or a tv and dvd player when we wanted to watch a movie. The only difficulty with the property is the location. It's in a neighborhood of cottages/cabins on a very very steep hillside. We took our car that is a manual transmission and it was no fun navigating the small streets at very steep angles. Just bring your small automatic car! Otherwise, a beautiful location and place to relax.

“Best place to stay with a large group” We had the best time staying at the two side-by-side houses in Russian river. We have 6 families and way too many kids =) The layout and set up of the houses was perfect. The downstairs play rooms for the kids was ideal. The park-like backyard and easy access to the river made this place one of the best we have ever stayed at. In addition, they have everything you could ever need during your stay from the Bbq's, well stocked kitchens to the canoe and kayak's. We will definitely come back.

About Jenner

Where the Russian River enters the Pacific Ocean you'll find the quiet Sonoma County town of Jenner. With just a few hundred year round residents, Jenner has retained an atmosphere of friendliness and seclusion. This is a place of warm hospitality, breathtaking ocean vistas and fascinating local history. Spend the afternoon exploring the coastal wilderness. Put on your hiking shoes and bring your bird watching binoculars. The long trails of the protected state and local parks here, like Salt Point State Park, offer stunning ocean overlooks and opportunities to encounter rare birds and wildlife.

While you're in Jenner, visit Fort Ross Historic Park where Russia once maintained a North American military presence and established a remote outpost for sea otter hunters. Fort Ross now maintains a preserved historic chapel and evidence of California's first windmills and shipbuilding facilities.

After the sun goes down, wander into the heart of Jenner and dine at a friendly, locally owned restaurant. Then enjoy the laid back atmosphere of the town's bars and live music venues.
