Chez Mamie- Farmhouse Gite in Charente Countryside

Chez Mamie has two bedrooms upstairs, one with a double bed and the other with a single and bunks, suitable for 3 children. The large bathroom has a toilet, wash hand basin and shower. There is room in either bedroom for a cot. Downstairs, there's a kitchen/diner and separate sitting room.

Your private rear garden has a terrace and grassed area, so that there's room for your children to play outside close by, and this looks onto the pool area and the rest of our garden.

Additional Location Information

The views of the countryside surrounding Chez Augros are breathtaking, including our over 2 acres of grounds for you to enjoy, with fruit and nut trees, bordered on one side by an oak wood, and on other sides by agricultural fields.
Because we’re located on the edge of a village, our only passing traffic is the occasional tractor on the way to the farmland around us.
Typical crops in the area include sunflowers, which are beautiful in July, and grapevines and sweetcorn which give the area a lush greenness even through the long hot summers.
Our rural location means that you’ll need your own transport—the nearest boulangerie is 3 miles away, and we have no shops in our local hamlet. However, we have the delightful towns of Montendre and Jonzac only 10 & 15 minutes drive away, with an array of small boutiques, restaurants and supermarkets to cater for your every need.
The village of Vibrac is very quiet - although it does boast its own heated outdoor pool which is open in July and August. It has a larger pool and also a shallow splash pool for the little ones, and is very popular with the locals, although you may find it difficult to tear yourselves away from our lovely pool on site !
