My husband and I stayed here last February and we loved it. It's very secluded and close to some amazing places. The short walk to Kailua Beach made it convenient to spend a lot of time in the ocean. It's also really close to Boots and Kimo's, the best breakfast place in the area with Kimo's famous Macadamia Nut Sauce on His Onolicious Pancakes. Yummm.
It is small, but it's also $85+ per night, which is a steal in Hawaii. Loved the shower.. I thought it was funny that there was a kitchen sink in the bathroom... but it worked out perfectly.
You won't regret this perfect little studio. We didn't.

This is an excellent location with a family friendly host. The family host was extremely accommodating to our needs and wants; and the cottage had all we needed for our three-week stay. We particularly enjoyed the covered lanai each morning with our Hawaiian coffee.
The cottage was walking distance to the beach and Kailua town and the neighborhood was safe and friendly. Again, our hosts felt like close friends or family rather than landlords.

Overall, I give this rental a "good" rating. If you love the beach and being close to it is your main criteria, this is actually a very good place to stay. It offers direct access to Kailua Beach Park with parking and private patio. The reason I had to give it an "average" rating is that the walls are very thin and I felt like the family was in the room with me. There were also dogs barking early in the morning. The bathroom could also be more private, the window doesn't close all the way.
But if you bring a good pair of ear plugs as I did and love the beach as I do, it's a deal. Can't beat a walk to the beach whenever you want.

The Garden studio was a great place to stay as a base for traveling around
Oahu away from the city. We could walk to the beach and to retail areas, and
drive to many places on the island. The studio was self-contained with
cooking facilities and an outdoor patio - very nice! The only negative was that
walls were thin with the neighbors and we could hear each other at all times.
