The property

Riverside8On12 is a quiet hideaway 5 Km from the historic city of Kandy on the bank of the Mahaweli River at Lewella in Sri Lanka. You wake up to the sound of birds and chipmunks, and cool down in the evening on the balconies overlooking the river, watching formations of cormorants and egrets heading off to their nesting places while fireflies light up the 'kahata' tree in the foreground.

We have three air-conditioned double rooms with their own bathrooms with hot showers. Breakfast is included in the tariff.

Riverside8On12 is situated approximately 5 km from Kandy on the bank of the Mahaweli River - the longest river in Sri Lanka. It is approximately 120km from the capital Colombo and 100km from the international airport.

Kandy is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Sri Lanka often referred to as the Island's Cultural Capital. As a site on the World Heritage List , Kandy with its picturesque lake, has numerous places of interest to travellers, including:
- the Dalada Maligawa (Temple of Tooth), the most important place of worship for Buddhists in the country and the centre of the famed August Kandy Perahera;
