This condo was perfect for my husband and I. The kitchen has been updated, the furnishings were first rate. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The price was very reasonable. We were able to walk to dinner many evenings. I can't say enough about how wonderful this condo was!

The unit we stayed in was impeccably clean and had everything we could possibly need (except for shampoo and cream rinse). The view was amazing and we had absolutely no complaints! Since it did not have a swimming beach, which is what we requested, it was so quiet and had such a nice lawn in which to enjoy the sun. Wish we could afford to buy it and live there! The location was perfect...close to Foodmart, which had great prices and close to the Historic Downtown with such unique shops, not at all "touristy". Loved it, loved it, loved it!

We arrived at 9 pm and checked in at the reception desk. They had all the paperwork ready. Not knowing what to expect, we entered the room and crashed for the night. In the morning we found that they had furnished the room with everything including maps, broachers, music and movies. The only thing that was needed would be a fan as the condo was not air conditioned. It was not hot just humid.

This condo's location is it's prime asset. Beautiful views of the ocean from your living room, as well as convenient accesss to Kapaa make it an ideal place to stay. However the walls are very thin. The person next door snored so loudly, I had to move the mattress to the living room and sleep there. ( I tried two different sets of earplugs first, and a white-noise machine; none of which helped) Read more
Mahalo for your review. Unfortunately in a condo, you never know who your neighbor will be. Being chemical sensitive, we are glad that this unit otherwise suited your needs and happy you were able to move to the living area and lull yourself to sleep with the sounds of the ocean.

Unit #207 was perfect. The condo was clean and recently renovated. Has modern fully equipped kitchen. The unit is convenient to the laundry facility and swimming pool. Caution, if you leave the screen door open, the doves may come in and make themselves home. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to come back. Read more
Mahalo for your review. Glad to hear "Unit #207 was perfect.". Oceanfront view is great....yes in the tropics, screen doors have to be closed! We look forward to your return!

Very comfortable, beautiful view! Kitchen modern and well-equipped... You can walk everywhere. Good central island location. Grounds are lovely and well-maintained, bed comfy. Suggest remodel of the bathroom to make this unit perfect! Highly recommend Ola Massage nearby, also rent bike and enjoy the ocean path. Read more
Mahalo for your review. Glad to hear you enjoyed Ola Massage; literally steps away from Kapaa Shore Resort....New owners have done a lot to make this a favorite of many!

Not fancy, but great view, convenient, clean. Love to watch the sunrise every morning on the balcony, use the hot tub and pool every afternoon. Condo is clean, pool area and grounds are nice.
Great price for the unobstructed ocean view - no beach, but for beaches you really want to drive to one of the great Kauai ones. Kapaa is halfway between North and South shores, so its a great location.
The bad reviews don't make sense - we have stayed here 4 times in 10 years. Its not a fancy hotel, but its also not expensive. It is clean (come on, its the tropics - leave food out and you will get bugs). Noise never seemed excessive - inside or out. Read more
Mahalo for your review! We do agree that the views from Kapaa Shore Resort are fabulous and unobstructed. Sunrise and moon rise views! We do hope you'll be back to visit us again!

Our vacation was both wonderful and terrible. My parents were booked in a lower unit - walk right out on to the beach. My father became ill and was admitted to ICU, so he was unable to leave the island so we had to locate another place to stay for my mother and us. (very difficult to find a the last minute). I went to the rental agency who had a cancellation for that same time frame and we moved one floor up. Wow! What a difference. The unit was beautifully decorated and I felt completely at home. The downstairs unit was nice and homey, but the upstairs unit was incredible. It was so nice to have dishes, spices, almost anything you could have neeeded.

Very good complex. Well located. Better pool than many others in area. Modern well equipped kitchen. Easy walking distance to groceries & drug store. Good shared Bbqs. Bathroom needs updating, but OK. Beach infront isn't easy to access due to slippery rocks, and has strong currents...not for kids.
Sleeping oceanside is quiet. Bedroom on the inland side can have a bit of distant road noise as well as the early morning roosters. Can get breezy in afternoons.
Mahalo for your review. We do agree that Kapaa Shore Resort is well located and does have a beautiful pool with hot tub. We do strongly advise when going to the beach especially with children that you go to a beach with lifeguards. Highly suggest nearby Lydgate Beach Park, excellent for families and children. Good snorkeling, showers, lifeguards and bathrooms. Across the way from Lydgate is Kamalani Playground; extremely popular for the keikis (children). This condo has recently entered our rental pool and has all new furnishings and upgraded kitchen. A very popular unit!
