Additional Location Information

Located in the heart of Bassenthwaite Village, by a stream with ducks and a rustic bridge, in the quieter northern Lake District yet only 15 mins' drive from the bustling market town of Keswick.
The great attraction here at Bassenthwaite Hall farm, are our comical Indian Runner Ducks, which waddle too and fro from farm to stream .!0am is time to let the ducks out of their shed by the stream, and it is always exciting to see them rush straight out , ducking and a diving for their morning bath, and bustling back for their breakfast. Then there is the egg collecting which is exciting, and visitors can all give a hand with all the morning ducky jobs. At various times of year we hatch baby ducklings, which are so cute of course.

There are walks from the door, down country lanes with wild flowers, or to fells, lakes, and waterfalls and a traditional village green and small playground. No need to take the car at all, as there is plenty to explore in all directions from here if you so wish. Experience village life, and country living!

Free parking, mainly off-road available.
