Broadway Run 34 - Central Air Conditioning Grand Rustic Mountain Getaway on the Big Wood River
Happily named "the Camp Out" by the family, this delightful getaway is only minutes from downtown Ketchum, yet 3 miles outside of town to afford the discerning Guest the privacy they want. This 6200 square foot Adirondack-styled compound is situated right on the river for those that love just watching wildlife and the river, or for person that loves to fly fish right outside the door. The house is surrounded by an Aspen forest. The large deck looks out over the river where you can relax on the extensive teak furniture with comfort to enjoy the outdoors while watching the river.
The main house has large windows and light from the overhead glass seating area; giving a wonderful feeling of bringing the outdoors in to the living spaces, as well as the dining room, which also has access to the large deck. The living spaces of the main house are filled with delightful antiques, classic vintage movie posters everywhere and art that brings whimsy and interest to the rooms,setting the mood for great conversation. The kitchen has a separate access to the patio and has all the accouterments one would need to entertain friends and family, whether it is served on the deck or at the dining table, which has seating for 10.There is a powder room off the living room for Guests. The main house is fully air conditioned for those warm summer days.
Downstairs, the first guest bedroom is on the right with a Queen Bed and shared bath with tub and shower that is shared with a small bunk guest room. The laundry room is downstairs also. Upstairs, there are three bedrooms, all en-suite. The two Master suites have King Beds and fabulous views looking over the river and woods. The third bedroom has two bridgeable twin beds to make in to a King and is very spacious with a tub/shower combo bath.
There is a bunkhouse connected to the main house via redwood decking; the bunk house has a media room on the first floor with large flat screen and full bath. There is a 6th bedroom with a private entrance that has two Twins beds that can be potentially bridged to a King; it has an en-suite bath/shower combo.
There is an adorable doll house off the back of the home, all set up and ready for a tea party, with a place to take a nap.
This is a wonderful cozy environment to escape from reality, yet right off the bike trail where you can bike to Hailey or to Ketchum. Unsurpassed setting on the river with attached garages for two cars.
