Fish from our dock, one of the nearby piers or bridges, with a charter captain from the marina in walking distance or bring your boat and dock it right outside your door! Less than 10 minutes to open water in the bay.
Come to our piece of paradise in Key Colony Beach. Everything you need to relax is close to this rental home--white sand beach and heated pool private club membership is a 4 minute walk (or 2 minute bike ride with the cruiser bikes for you to use at the house), three full service restaurants, a wine bar, bakery and breakfast hangout, boutique, gift shops and liquor store all in walking distance, or sit on your private lanai overlooking the canal. If you are feeling a bit more adventurous, drop a line (fishing poles and tackle are included in your rental) in the canal from the dock, or take the tandem kayak for a spin around the island.
We vacation here too! It is lovely and romantic for just us when we want some "alone time" and great fun with our children as well--the house is set up to cater to couples and children. However you come, ours is a laid back tropical paradise with everything you need at your fingertips. 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, sleeps 6. Walk to the Cabana Club (private pool and beach, membership included in your rental) just a block away from this beauty, or use one of our beach cruiser bikes (4 adult, 2 kid size) to ride to the club or Sunset Park. Fish from the dock (poles available), use our tandem kayak to explore the canals or dock your boat at your "back door" with 30 feet of space. Stainless steel fish cleaning table, electric, shower and hose at the dock. Bait freezer and interior storage are just feet away. Dogs are welcome, and the house is very family friendly.
Key Colony Beach, KCB, as it is known to the locals, is a community that is proud of its reputation of safe and gentle relaxation amid award winning restaurants and incredible vistas. The island wide automobile speed limit is 25, to accommodate the myriad of walkers and bikers on its streets and designated paths. The town’s wide canals, all of which are no wake zones, abound with tropical fish and wildlife. The town municipal center and post office are next to a lovely park with a gazebo, and at the end of the same street lay Sunset Park, a well maintained scenic public location for just hanging out and watching spectacular Keys sunsets.
At nearly the geographic center of the Florida Keys at mile marker 53, this property is a two hour drive to Miami and just an hour from Key West.
Small pets (dogs under 20 pounds) welcome. This property is family friendly, with amenities ranging from a high chair and port-a-crib to four adult size beach cruiser bikes and two kids bikes and a membership in the private Cabana Club, which is a two block walk away. Our family vacationed in rental homes in Key Colony Beach from the time our youngest was 2 ½ until our oldest was 16, so this property is set up with the things we liked having at rental properties, wished we had, or enjoy ourselves. See our website for a complete listing. Boaters can dock in the canal along the house. Just minutes separate you from the open Atlantic and Vaca Cut to access the Gulf of Mexico for fishing and snorkeling. A commercial fishing and snorkeling fleet with full and half day trips is walking distance from the house.

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is very clean and organized. It had everything we needed and it was nice to have the tandem kayak to use on the canal. We had a manatee visit us right at our dock!. We loved sitting out on the porch. The house is in a great location in the keys. It is only about an hour ride to Key West so it was nice to be able to go there for a couple dinners. We loved having a dock outside the house because we rented a boat for the week and it was great being able to dock it right outside the house. Sandy was great to work with and has wonderful information on the area for her guests which we really appreciated. It was nice having the cabana club to use. We enjoyed the swimming pool and sitting under the palm trees on the beach at the club. We would definitely stay here again. We loved being able to bring our dog with us!

My family stayed last May and had an awesome time even though it had rained most of the time. The house has everything you needed, all you needed to bring was yourself and your bathing suits! The owner really goes out of her way to make sure everything is just right for your stay. A plus for my natural family was that the house was cleaned by natural/organic cleaners and even had a great washer and dryer! We had a blast riding bikes...going to the cabana club swimming at the beach access and even the heated pool. It was a great time had by all and looking forward to coming back again. Go ahead and reserve this beauty, you wont regret it!

My wife, puppy & I just returned from a 1 week holiday at Sandy & Richards place. Honestly we can't say enough positive things about the property or most especially about Sandy and her approach to providing the best rental experience possible (which it was). The home is beautiful, well placed in a quiet but accessible to everything neighborhood on a lovely canal with a great boat dock. The home is immaculately clean, stocked with everything you might need (including a kayak, 4 new bikes, fishing poles, beach towels & toys, all appliances & kitchen utensils, I mean it goes on & on, plus Sandy is totally sweet, accessible, thoughtful, organized, etc, etc.
We can't wait to stay here again!

We just could not have had a better experience with the house or the rental process. We were so impressed with the organization of everything in the house. If we had any questions we were able to go to one of the instructional manuals and get the answer. It was wonderful having the bikes, the kayaks, the well furnished kitchen and so much more provided.
Although, I was excited that Key Colony had so much to offer for the kids, they seemed to prefer fishing in the canal most of the time. When we were able to drag them away we were able to enjoy the Cabana Club, Bahia Honda and Sombrero Beach. They enjoyed snorkeling and were able to see a good many fish at these beaches. They loved kayaking up and down the canal in the tandem you provided and we even rented a couple of tandems so that we all could kayak together. We kayaked to Sparky's one day for lunch which thrilled them. I called around and checked prices on kayaks and got a great deal from Key Kayak Rentals. I certainly hope I got the name right because there is another place with a similar name but with much higher prices. Anyway, the man I talked to offered to deliver 2 tandems and leave them 3 days for $100 plus $10 for delivery and pickup. Other places wanted up to $55 per tandem per day so I highly recommend this place.
We appreciate all that you do to make this place so nice and convenient for your guests. We hope to come back again sometime, maybe even next summer.

Wonderful simple vacation home. Every item is labeled and has its place. The home was immaculate and well stocked. The beds were extremely comfortable. Everything worked. We immediately were as comfortable as being at home. Retractable awnings on porch were nice for the afternoons. Dock area was convenient and clean. House is on the same canal as the Marina so it was very convenient for us to stop when heading out to fish. Key Colony is a great area. The residents/renters were all polite and courteous. Cabana Club membership during your stay is a huge perk. The weather was not great during our stay so we used Cabana Club quite a bit. Nice beach, nice pool and excellent restaurant with great service. Sparky's Landing is another great place. Good happy hour. Can't wait to stay at this vacation house again.

We spent 7 days in Key Colony Beach and greatly enjoyed our stay. We especially appreciated the fact that this rental was very well appointed and everything was labeled for easy access. For the week we rented a boat from Captain Hooks (they were also great to work with) and loved the fact that we could dock it right outside of the house to come and go as we pleased. The owners were very helpful and responsive to all questions we had about the rental. We would highly recommend this property and will consider it again when we return!

We vacationed at this wonderful vacation home the first week in January. The amenities are just perfect, great location to all the best tourist spots in Marathon, Grassy Key and only an hour away from Key West! Loved the fact that it was a very very short walk to the Cabana Club (complimentary membership during your stay) for a dip in the ocean or the pool, dining and cocktails too! Bicycles and a kayak available to use for more leisure time, biking to Sunset Memorial Park at must at sunset, beautiful. Other places right on the island of Key Colony to eat and enjoy. You really need not go anywhere else as all you need for a great vacation is right on Key Colony at this fabulous vacation home!

Best Holiday ever!. The home was spotless, everything clearly marked with ample instructions for appliances and electronics! It was an easy two minute walk to the beach club and five minutes to Key Colony Inn restaurant (do not miss Friday's Rib Roast).
My Irish relatives loved this place and so did our family. I will definitely return

Perfect place for a family vacation. It was our first trip to the Keys and we couldn't have chosen a better place. The home was spacious and clean with everything you could possible want and more. Loved the tropical decor. It was great to have our boat docked right outside the door and the beach just a short walk away. A wonderful place to relax and get away from it all. Thank you Sandy and Richard for sharing your beautiful home.

Sometimes when renting homes you do not always get what was shown on a website.
This was not the case with this home. It was clean, had all the amenities, has a great lanai with motorized shades for the late day sun, and is in a perfect location. They also provide bikes for an easy ride to three restaurants/bars within a few blocks of the house...They provide a bait freezer in the basement for those of us who like to fish. Sparky's bait shop is at the end of their canal right on your way out to sea.
We were so happy with the home we have rented it twice and plan on doing so again in the spring!
We have a small, well behaved dog that we were allowed to bring which was great.

We had such a great time here. Quiet, spacious, very clean and it felt like home. Kitchen had everything we could ask for from cookware to table settings.
Close to beach and swim club (walking distance). Beautiful sunsets and sun rises. Cook in or eat out everything close by. Plus don't forget the cable T.V. with every channel, and convenient. Thanks for the great vacation spot - home away from home!

Have stayed at Richard & Sandy's home 2 years running. Everything is at your fingertips. My friends and I have taken our annual / bi-annual fishing and lobstering trip and have felt completely at home. Sandy has made sure that everything is completely taken care of for your stay. The home is absolutely one of the best we have stayed at in Key Colony. And Sandy's hospitality is second to none. No complaints at all. We will be back for sure.

I lived in the keys for many years and know the keys well, this is the town to be! It is centrally located in the keys, you can stay here and visit all the other towns easily with short day trips. My husband and I along with his brother and his wife went down to visit family, we rented this vacation home, everything you needed was in this rental, bikes to cruise around the island, walking distance to the Cabana Club for a swim in the ocean or the pool, fishing in the canal, walking distance to great places to eat in Key Colony Beach, short drives to great restaurants, snorkeling, etc. in Marathon. Not far from Key West either, easy day trip. But best of all, it is really all there on the island of Key Colony Beach...The vacation home itself was comfortable, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen had all you needed to prepare food which helps with your budget, overall it is a wonderful place to rent and I can't wait to do it again!
