Located on one of old town's prettiest historic streets, Frances Street. Casa Serendipity is one of the finest examples of the 'conch cottage' style architecture that Key West is famous for.
Designed to accommodate a family, this three-bedroom home has two full baths, one full bath upstairs and one full bath downstairs both with showers.
The light and airy living room features an abundance of French doors overlooking the covered veranda, lush grounds and pool. A 27' flat screen TV makes the living room a favorite place to relax. The open kitchen area comes fully equipped with everything you may need to prepare a gourmet meal, and of course a blender for those frozen tropical drinks!
Upstairs are two bedrooms with King beds, one with CD player and safe. You will also find a wonderful little den upstairs and one full bath. The third bedroom is downstairs and offers a Queen size bed and a 32” flat screen TV.
The greatest feature of this home is the outdoor living space. The house was very charming and clean. We were worried about the pool size from the picture but it was perfect with a spray fountain. Most of the time was spent outside using the gas grill and the pool. The deck gets very hot in direct sunslight. The location is in a tucked away neighborhood right across from the cemetery, spooky and historic. We pick labor day weekend because it is considered the "off season" but it still is a holiday.
The location is a good walk to duval or a quick scooter. Next year we will try and get closer the the old towne side of Duval.

My husband & I enjoyed our stay very much. A very relaxing vacation! We would go to a local beach in the mornings and then back to the house & pool in the afternoon so that we could escape into the air conditioning if we wanted! My only wish for this house would be for central air...the window units worked but we had to run them on high almost 24 hours a day!

What a great house in a quite neighborhood. It is far enough from to Duval St. to be an oasis, but close enough to walk there. The beach is walkable for the fit individual, but it made more sense to drive. Parking in Key West is tough so on site parking was compact, but much appreciated.
My family is quiet group, but if you plan late night swims be aware that you are warned of the 10:30pm curfew! The houses are very close together.
The linens are changed daily, but I had to be persistent for this to happen. One afternoon I didn't make the second call (9 am and 3pm)because we were snorkeling, as a result we didn't have clean towels. This would not have been a problem,
but we had been instructed to leave the dirty towels outside in a pile for pick up!
Bug spray essential for June evenings on the porch.
Kitchen has the basics.
Ants as regular visitors is a theme in the guest book. They show up but did not present a problem and did not hitch a ride for a PA vacation.
The grounds are as beautiful as the on line photos suggest. In all we were pleased with our choice of home in Key West.

We stayed for two nights in Casa Serendipity on our fantastic tour around the south of Florida. We have been travelling to Florida for years but have never got down to Key West so this was a long hankered for experience and the accomodation did not let us down. As I was travelling with my husband, mum and brother this was a perfect place to stay. There was plenty of room for us all (and then some!) and everything was to a high standard. The house is just beautiful and was perfect to come home to each evening. We walked into the main centre of old Key West each day which took about 15 minutes but was a lovely walk giving us the chance to see all the different sorts of houses and random chickens! Key West was an absolute dream destination for us and we can't wait to go back, the house was the absolute cherry on the cake. We just can't believe that we got the chance to stay in such a lovely home.

This home is set up perfectly for a group, with an open kitchen and bar and a very relaxing pool area.
Lots of space for gatherings, and also for privacy within the home. Nice neighborhood and walkable to numerous stores and restaurants (try Seven Fish!) We had a wonderful time exploring Key West.

My family stayed at this location and found it to be absolutely perfect! It was within walking distance of the excitement of Duvall St. while still being far enough away not to hear the noise at 3:00 in the morning. The pool was wonderfully refreshing, the home very clean and comfortable and the wrap around porch was absolutely divine! I will definitely vacation there again.

I was in a group of four couples from Ohio who rented this fabulous home in July of 2008. We absolutely loved it! We spent so much time in the pool, which was black-bottomed and had a feel of being in your own private lagoon, and deck area, and took advantage of having our own grill, too. My husband and I were the only ones in our group who had ever been to Key West before, but this was our first time renting a house. This was totally the way to go, in fact, the next time our family vacations to Key West, we will definitely stay at Casa Serendipity! We also loved the quiet neighborhood. After a night on Duval Street, the ten minute walk back to the house was nice and peaceful!

Five of my highschool friends and I hold an annual reunion in various cities and resort areas throughout U.S. We rented this home for our trip to Key West and were very pleased. We loved the home and found it well equipped and maintained. We especially enjoyed returning to the lovely patio and pool in the late afternoons after a hot day of sightseeing. There was plenty of room for all of us, and I would definitely rent this home again if I were to return.

Loved the house, nicely decorated and well kept. Lots of room except you
need to watch your head going down the stairs - low clearance. Nice wrap
around porch and yard with small pool (too cold for me but the kids loved it).
The walk to town (Duval St area) was longer than expected especially since the
house is across from the cemetary (above ground).
