First the positive: the house and location were excellent. Has to be one of the most beautiful locations on Kiawah. Not too far from the beach (10 minute walk), close to bike paths. Quiet location, house was roomy. Now the negatives: Service from Wyndham rentals was fair to poor, at best. On arrival, we were told the house was ready. This was at 4:30PM. When we walked in the door, a housekeeping supervisor was cleaning every shelf of the refrigerator because she told us the previous renters trashed the place and the housekeeping staff was not available to do their jobs. Carpets had to be vacuumed, gum was on carpets, a table was broken, garbage was yet to be emptied. By the time the supervisor completed cleaning the unit, it delayed our vacation by 3 hours. We had dinner plans but had to cancel because Wyndham didn't pay attention to what their rental looked like BEFORE giving us a key. Then we discover that the garage door opener didn't work and never did during our entire stay, preventing us from using the garage. There was no TV in one of the bedrooms (the description of the unit said all bedrooms had TV's), and my requests for a TV in that bedroom were ignored. The shower in one of the bedrooms was not fully functional. The dishes supplied were chipped and the kitchen was poorly equipped with some non-functional items. In addition, Wyndham staff and management was slow in responding, although they did respond after 3 days after giving some lame excuses for the lack of response. I'd definitely recommend renting this house, but only when Wyndham no longer is the rental agency. Overall, their level of service was mediocre to poor.
