Maui Kamaole Best Family Value, Walk to the Beach!
Maui Kamaole is our #1 southshore resort/condo property under $500/night for many good reasons, all of which spell “value”. The property itself is a cut-above everything else in Kihei and it's not in the middle of the busy-part of Kihei either, which is a big plus, though you can still walk to shops/restaurants in 5-10 minutes, meanwhile there's a great beach just “out the door” within a 2-minute walk, Kamaole Beach III (aka Kam III), that's ideal for swimming/snorkeling. We offer both “oceanview” and “gardenview” category units, but the big-plus is that we get to “pick and choose” the best available unit based on your preferences including bedding requests. Please be sure to tell us how many are in your party, how many adults and how many children w/ their ages.
Large living areas
A/C in all units
Wifi internet available for all units
Washer/dryer in unit
Low-rise 2 -story "town home" clusters make for a low-density environment
2 pool areas with jacuzzi in each
BBQ areas for each building cluster
Landscaped grounds surround the property creating a lush garden setting
Property is perched on a hill which provides panoramic oceanviews and no road noise!
Kamaole Beach III, one of the best for swimming and snorkeling, across the street with large open lawn and playground
Restaurants and shops within a 5-minute walk in Kihei
2-minutes' drive to Wailea, 25-minutes to Kahului, 35-minutes to Lahaina
We can offer you dozens of choices for you to select from according to your bedding preferences.
Our opinion, based on our guests' reviews: Maui Kamaole is our most popular choice by far, where we put more happy guests than all other properties on the southshore combined. It has a more "upscale feel" to it than the older, high-density properties that predominate the rest of Kihei, similar to what you'd find in Wailea at a much higher price.TripAdvisor property ID 3761082...Read more

The place is very beatiful. The apartment is comfortable. The two pools are very well located.
The gardens are wonderful.
The provided space is more than enough and all the provided amenities made the stay happy and easy.
Something that one should be aware is the air conditioning. They seat low, close to the ground, and are a little bit noisy.
If you like to go to the beach, be aware that you either like to walk or you will need to drive. In our case, we walked, but it´s something around 20 minutes to get to a good beach.
For shopping and restaurants, a car is required.
We would come back.

We had a fantastic time and the condo was in a great location, very clean and we loved it. We would definitely stay there again. The only thing I would have changed is the upstairs loft not being closed off with our little ones, once they were up we were all up :) Thank you for all of your recommendations and help before we got there. You all went above and beyond and it is greatly appreciated.

Stayed in unit J211. It was larger and more updated than we expected based on photos we had seen. Both bedrooms are quite spacious and there is a ensuite for both. Main level bedroom has a ensuite with double sink and tub/shower (tub is great if you have kids). Great view from the patio overlooks the ocean and Northwest side of the island. Condo site is kept very clean, two pools on property which are very nice. About a 4 minute walk to the beach from our unit. Late night check in was very easy. Boogie boards, sand toys, and flippers were available to use in the closet.
We tried to get a main level suite in the hopes that our kids could play outside, however we're happy with the second level in this case as condo site is mainly on a hill therefore most main level units had limited outside space for kids to play within site. View from our second level unit was very nice.
Only negative was the neighbor below complained about having our air conditioner on all night the first night. We had came in on a late flight and the unit hadn't been used recently so the place was HOT so we turned on the air. Had a letter on the door the next night from the neighbor below complaining that we were the first to run the air conditioners all night since November. Passive aggressive letter when she could have just knocked on the door and had an explanation for a one night occurrence.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this unit to someone else.

Cary, Ke'ala and Courtney always provide fabulous service! We have been using Cary's help for the 15 years that we have been going to Maui. He works hard to get us into a quiet, comfortable vacation spot for our family. We always call Cary if we're planning a trip to Maui. He knows the ins and outs of all the various options and always steers us right! Although we have occasionally looked online for other options, we always book with Cary because he offers us the best value and nicest places.
We love Maui Kam. The units are comfortable, the grounds are beautiful, and it's close to many of our favorite beaches in Maui. Kam 3, a very kid-friendly beach, is just a walk away. Nearby is our favorite shave ice stand, and everything you need on vacation. Maui Kam is very close to Wailea, minus the prices, so you have access to many gorgeous beaches that are great for families. From sand play to wave jumping to boogie boarding to snorkeling with the kids, this area is fabulous. I recommend booking with Cary any time!

This was our family's 3rd time staying at Maui Kamaole in the past 5 years. We love it! We've stayed in the 2-bedroom units each time, and over the years have stayed at the top part of the property (L-cluster), the lower part of the property closest to the water (H-cluster), and most recently (earlier this month) in the middle part of the property in the K cluster (K-207). Each experience has been really great, although I think our family tends to like staying in the upper portion with views of Haleakala to the east, and closest to the upper pool area. Anywhere on the property is a short walk over the Kamaole III beach and nearby shopping areas. What we love about the Maui Kamaole is that it is at the south part of Kihei and a bit quieter as a result, plus it's a very short drive down to Wailea/Makena where we like to snorkel. The property itself is one of the loveliest in Kihei, with beautiful, established tropical landscaping. In our most recent stay, my parents also came along and stayed in one of the first floor, 1-bedroom units which was just perfect for them (F-106). Their unit was beautifully appointed and had a really nice lanai off the living room with a complete garden view; the lanai off their bedroom had a really nice private feel also. Our unit (K-207) was really great -- lots of boogie boards and chairs in the units that we could use and as an end unit, had great cross-ventilation (plus was right near the pool which was convenient). We plan to stay at Maui Kamaole anytime we come back to Maui -- it's just perfect and we love the south Maui location.

We received fabulous service from Cary Ritt and his staff. We were very happy with the condo we rented. It was perfect for a family. We spent most of our time at the beach and it was nice to be able to come back, get cleaned up and head out for dinner. The washer, dryer were used everyday! The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was stocked with the basics. The area was nice and quiet and secluded. Perfect for the price! Thank you.
