4BR Family Townhome Set in Quiet Kihei Gardens

****SPECIAL $395/night through August****

This unit is in Koa Resort, a low-key collection of low-density garden-style condos in central Kihei.

Set on five manicured tropical acres, five low-rise two story buildings are centered around gardens, large shade trees and probably the best condo pool in Kihei.

This complex is not a tourist-mill - the majority of units are resident occupied, and few visitors know about this low-key option right across the street from the ocean.

Additional Location Information

Location
One reason the price stays in line is that the location isn’t sitting inside one of the posh resort areas in Wailea – but folks who’ve been to Maui know that actually matters very little because Maui is very small. You can be at any part of South Maui from here within minutes. All beaches in Maui are public, so in ten minutes you can be sitting at the same beach Paris Hilton lounges on (that would be Wailea Beach, by the way) but without the “on Wailea Beach” price tag. There are also several beaches within walking distance, including a small, pretty beach right across the street.

Kalepolepo Beach Park across the street.
The beach across the street, Kalepolepo Beach Park, is uncrowded and totally under the radar of most tourists. It is a perfect place to watch the whales in season – in fact it is the site for the recently upgraded Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary learning center. It is also home to culturally significant and the most accessible ancient Hawaiian fishpond in Maui. This is a great beach to escape touristy crowds, have dinner or drinks while you witch the sunset, or strike up a down-to-earth conversation with a local family.
