"What A Dream"
Left on 09/09/2015 for a stay in August 2015
This was a very nice house. The house was better than the pictures. It had plenty of room for everyone. The master bedroom was awsome. I have never had this much closet space in a vacaton rental. The kitchen had up to date appliances. Loved the game room in the basement. The shower in the basement was great. Only problem is now I want one like this in my home. Only suggestion I would have is there is no dresser in the one bedroom or lap at the bedside.
"Better Than Expected"

The pictures on the rental site don't do this house justice. It was beautiful and just the right size and location. A gem of a house on the outer banks.
"Great week in the OBX"

This was our second time staying at Hall and we love it there. The house is perfect for large groups, or smaller groups who like to spread out. The rooms are large and there are plenty of places to sit in the living/dining room area. There's also a large table in the kitchen and no shortage of plates/cups/cookware/etc. It's a short walk to the pier for fishing and the beach is beautiful. You can not beat the views from screened in porch and deck. From the great sunrises in the morning, to watching the dolphins play in the evening, you won't ever want to leave. If you do decide to leave the house it's just a short drive to stores and the movie theater. You are also close to Jockeys Ridge and the Wright Memorial.
We've used Atlantic Realty for many years and are always happy with their customer service. Their website is very user friendly and booking a home is fast and easy. We highly recommend them to family and friends and will be using them again in the future.
"Minutes from the water"

We were 3 minute walk from the beach and shopping. Walk don't drive.
House was modern and comfortable.

Loved this cottage! Location is good, easy to find, and easy to get to. Walk to beach access is easy but the beach access itself is a little strenuous. It uses the Ramada access which is narrow in some places and has quite a few steps. The cleanliness and quality of the cottage make up for the little inconvenience in the walk. The cottage is very clean and the décor is very beachy. Love the kitchen. Two of the bathrooms have large tiled showers. The only complaint I have is that the master bed is very hard. It took a few nights to get used to it.
About Kill Devil Hills
Located in the very heart of North Carolina's famous Outer Banks beaches, Kill Devil Hills is a popular summer destination. One of the most spectacular stretches of shoreline in the United States, the Outer Banks are a long, thin strip of sand that runs parallel to the Atlantic coastline. Here, the main attraction is miles and miles of beautiful coastline, perfect for swimming, boating, and fishing. Water sports, like kayaking and surfing, are also very popular in the Outer Banks. You can rent equipment and take surf lessons, or simply body board in the crashing Atlantic waves. For families, a day at the beach can be complimented with a trip to one of Kill Devil Hills' miniature golf courses, recreation parks, or go-cart tracks. To explore the town, rent a bicycle and enjoy a leisurely ride.
In addition to its famous coastline, Kill Devil Hills has another claim to fame: it is the birthplace of modern aviation. In 1903, the Wright Brothers made their first successful flight in an airplane from a small outcropping above the town. Although the city of Kitty Hawk is usually credited with the honor of the Wrights' first flight, Kill Devil Hills was actually the location of their legendary journey.
In addition to enjoying the surf and sand, be sure to check out the following sights in Kill Devil Hills:
- Wright Brothers National Memorial: Kill Devil Hills' most famous landmark is a monument to the Wright Brothers, which features a replica of their first airplane.
- Albemarle Sound: Bordering Kill Devil Hills, Albemarle is North America's largest freshwater sound and a great place for fishing and boating.
- Cape Hatteras National Seashore: It is a quick jaunt up the coast from Kill Devil Hills to the pristine shoreline of Cape Hatteras on the very tip of the Outer Banks.
- Alligator River Wildlife Refuge: This wonderful wetland habitat is filled with ducks, gators, and other interesting animals, as well as designated hiking and fishing areas.
- Duck: The charming village of Duck is a great place for shopping and dining, as well as the location of a series of wonderful live music events in the summer.
- Roanoke Island: Visit Roanoke Island, where you can learn about North Carolina's early history, walk through lovely wilderness areas, and peek inside the historic Roanoke Marshes Lighthouse.
