“Arriving Home at Didean in Dingle” I recently stayed for a week with five friends in this comfortable and accommodating house in Dingle, Ireland. It is located within sight of the sea and is surrounded by a beautiful landscape with easy walks just outside the front door. The house supported the six of us with ease. It has a well-supplied kitchen that allowed us to cook gourmet meals and to serve them in a nice dining area with gorgeous views through large window walls. The house is big enough for a much larger group. Each couple in our group chose a room with ensuite bathroom. Activities in other parts of the house are nicely segregated from the bedrooms and everyone got a good night’s sleep. The place is marvelously quiet. We would definitely stay at this location again when we visit the Dingle peninsula.

“What a heavenly home!” This was such a beautiful home in a great setting. It was well-equipped with everything we needed whether for cooking, cleaning, relaxing, or sleeping. Having a washer and dryer was such a help as we were there for one week. The kitchen had everything one needed as well as the entire home. I cannot say enough about this home as it was so perfect!! The owner was so helpful and gave us great suggestions for places to eat as well as information about the area. We were a group of 5 women: 3 from the us and 2 from Denmark and it was such a relaxing place to start and end our days while there. It was so clean, comfortable, and felt right at home here. Wi-Fi was available too. Also loved the location as out in the country next to a babbling brook. Close enough to town and great to come home to such a beautiful setting. I know we all loved it here and I would recommend it highly to friends and family. And I hope to return one day.

“A quiet comfortable friendly place to stay.” We had a wonderful week, a very friendly welcome and everything we needed in the cottage. It was warm comfortable and exactly what it said when advertised.

“Fabulous property in a beautiful location.” This was a holiday to remember. What a fabulous property in a lovely area with shops, garage, pubs and restaurant nearby and a beautiful beach in Glenbeigh, which we walked to on our first day there. The house had everything you would want and was very tastefully decorated. It was lovely to see photos of how the house had been built with details of the family and the wedding in Italy. We liked the peace and quiet, the beautiful scenery and the location, which enabled us to access the Ring of Kerry. The Irish people, as I have experienced before, are lovely people and make you feel very welcome. The service from Sykes Cottages was excellent. Thank you for an enjoyable and memorable holiday. Wish we were still there.

“wonderful” We absolutely loved this house for the week that we were there! If we ever came back we would stay there even longer. It was a great location near the bottom of Mt. Carrantoule and near Killarny and had every convenience, was new and modern and the yard was beautiful with fresh blackberries we ate for breakfast (in the fall).

“We felt like local citizens.” The apartment was comfortable, nicely furnished, and well equipped. It was a pleasant, short walk to the town of Kenmare. The owner was very kind and made it clear that we should call her if we needed anything, including driving/directions advice to local points of interest. The neighbors were friendly and the parking was very convenient..we never worried about leaving our rented car overnight or for the day. This apartment was a delight to live in and, in short, was an excellent value. We are americans and this was our first visit to Ireland, but we felt that we belonged there.

“Lovely base for a family holiday” Very easy booking process and easy liaison with local housekeeper. Spacious and comfortable family holiday base with all key amenities and facilities. Beautifully located below Mount Brandon with great mountain views. Easy access to the whole of the Dingle Peninsular with its outstanding mountain views and seascapes. Excellent local pubs in Cloghane and Brandon. Small local shop with supermarket at Castlegregory 15 minute drive or 25 minutes to Dingle across the Connor Pass. Good beaches, fishing and walking nearby. Ideal area for a relaxing or an active holiday.

“a veryenjoyable stay” Heron's nest is well positioned to enjoy the dingle peninsula. The property is very cleanand spacious. The facilities are complete and any person or family staying at this cottage will be more than happy with all that it provides.d

“So much space, so much wood!” The title says it all. Good modern fittings, contemporary styling. Perfect for our group of 6 (including 2 young children). A great place to come back to in the evening. And we had good weather! (August, swimming in the sea...). While the cottage isn't close to amenities, it is well placed to explore the area - centrally placed for activities, beaches, walks. There's loads to do. My only gripe - it would be nice if the back yard was a garden instead. A lawn at least...

“Wonderful location” We were three adults enjoying a short break in the Dingle Peninsula. Brandon Mountain Cottage was very comfortable and spotless throughout. Great attention to detail here. The kitchen was well fitted out and lots of throws and rugs ensured we were comfy on chilly evenings. The views from the house of Brandon Bay and the mountains beyond were spectacular. A lovely walk to the beach as well as a vigorous climb to the summit of nearby Mount Brandon, added to the joy of our stay. Linda was very helpful and made us feel very much at home.

“Best Holiday rental we have stayed in” We absolutely loved this house, and hope to return next year. Check in was very easy. We just call into the next door neighbours, and they took us directly to the house. I was pleasantly surprised that, although the house is over 100 years old, it is so warm and comfy, and had lots of hot running water. I had never cooked on a range before, so that was a great experience. The kitchen has all the usual mod cons. Location is perfect for going off on day trips (by car) to the many beautiful places in Kerry eg. Kilarney, Dingle etc. Castleisland town is about a 10 minute drive away, and and has various shops. We bought some lovely steak in the butchers, which I cooked on the aga. The hot tub is an added bonus, which we very much enjoyed. Even though we had to go in it in between the rain showers! Funny! The whole experience of staying in this beautiful home was amazing! Can't wait to go back!

“The perfect Irish getaway” Our first visit to Ireland and I doubt it could have been bettered, Dromard is a beautiful place, in an idyllic setting. The furnishings are luxurious, the fittings of the highest quality. Everything you need is there, and even though you are only a stone's throw from the village with all its excellent amenities, at Dromard you could be miles from anywhere. We chose this holiday because of Dromard but we were delighted by the location, in the centre of all that Cos Cork and Kerry have to offer, with Kenmare being the best village we visited. Dromard, Kenmare and the entire area are most highly recommended.
