Type: Apt. / Condo
The Art House is located in the very heart of Kingston City, Banks, Attractions, Restaurants, and anything else you can imagine are within walking distance, and on rare occasion, within fifteen minutes via car. Despite being in the most central part of Kingston the property itself is very tranquil and suffers from zero noise pollution.
This space itself is an artistic, light toned, one bedroom apartment. The room is decorated with original art pieces made by myself, and the walls are hand painted. Outside as displayed is a natural mosaic that my partner Chris and I made as well.
The kitchen is stocked with the essentials such as; a ceiling fan, ...Read more

Additional Location Information
We are extremely central in the Kingston area. Restaurants, Supermarkets, Movie Theaters, and cultural attractions are all within fifteen minutes. Down below are several notable stores, landmarks, and attractions nearby that I'll briefly outline.
DEVON HOUSE - 5 min walk
This is the house of Jamaica's first black millionaire George Stiebel. It is literally just up the road, and you'll pass it on your way from the airport. The inside area is very natural and a pleasant area to just relax. While inside I strongly recommend you try some of "Jamaica's best Ice-scream", that is Devon House Ice-cream. A personal favourite of mine is Pralines and Cream (Vanilla with toffee and almond nuts). Also worthwhile is a Chicken Patty from the Brick House, which is conveniently right beside the Ice-Scream store. Careful though, they're fresh baked and hot!
BOB MARLEY MUSUEM - 10 minute Drive
The legendary Bob Marley museum pays homage to not only a cultural, but a global icon, and it t is only ten to fifteen minutes away! Inside they offer a tour which has a few fun facts about the star, his childhood, his music, and his family to name a few. There are also some rather well designed souvenirs available in the gift store. Even current US President Barrack Obama made an unexpected visit there on his last trip to Jamaica.
EMANCIPATION PARK - 10 minute drive
Emancipation park is one of the most iconic places within Jamaica. Outside there is the symbolic fountain that is one of Jamaica's most well known historical attractions. The park however is more than just the fountain. The inside of the park has a well kept Teflon track which is a great place to walk in the mornings. The low cast light of the morning sun, and the dew sprinkled grass make for a pleasant walking experience. In the evenings there are on occasion performances, and also various yoga and fitness classes available. My family and I go walking early most mornings (as this is when the sun is less harsh) and are more than happy to carry you along free of charge.
TWIN TOWERS PLAZA - 5 MInute Walk
Down the road from us are four plazas, the most important of which being Twin Plaza. While the other plazas have various tech stores, clothes stores, and shoe stores, Twin Plaza has a few things of note. There for one is a supermarket, Brooklyns, which although not as glamorous as Mega Mart (5 min drive in the other direction) does offer better prices, and is a good place to pick up few pieces for a shorter stay. There is also an 'Island Grill', a Jamaican style fast food restaurant. Any Jamaican will tell you they have the best fries you've ever had!! Not to mention their "Refreshah" drinks, and Jerk chicken. Within the same plaza is also Ziggy's, a eatery where you can get homestyle Jamaican food such as Curry Goat and Oxtail.
GENERAL PLACES OF INTEREST:
Mega Mart - A more upscale supermarket where you can get pretty much anything. It is a simple five minute drive away.
Palace Cineplex - Located in the Soverign Centre which is 15-20 mins away depending on traffic. Jamaica gets most movies as the same time as the USA, or within the week, and almost always before the UK. Prices are similar to the US with adult tickets costing around $1,100JA or, roughtly $9.50US.
Sugar and Spice - Like everything else, it's a short walk down the road, and they serve Jamaican patties. Patties aren't the most glamours food, but they are a key element to the Jamaican experience! All patties are good, but a cheese patty (beef with cheese melted inside) is tasty and worth a try.
KFC - It's around 7 min walk (about 100 metres away from Twin Plaza) from the apartment. Most of our visitors have KFC in their country, but what most people don't know is Jamaican KFC has BBQ flavour! In fact, this KFC sells the most chicken per capita in the whole world! Surely we must have something special going on. So ignore the stigma surrounding KFC and try some of their BBQ chicken, or hot wings, you won't regret it.
NEW KINGSTON - A 15 min drive with traffic. The New Kingston strip is a convenient strip that has an NCB bank, Sagicor, Scotia Bank, and a variety of food stores. There is a Digicel and LIME store where you can pick up a local SIM card, and also a Theatre where you can watch a stage production.
