Baan Tao Talay is a more traditionally furnished villa, with the emphasis on using natural materials and combining them with the modern day luxuries to complete the ultimate tropical island lifestyle.
Ornate gates and landscaped gardens lead through to the entrance of this villa and once inside you are struck by the splendour of an unusual dining table made of teak with decorative bamboo inlays. This striking piece of furniture is complemented by water-hyacinth chairs and natural coloured ceramic pots. Two matching Thai statues stand guard either side of the wood and glass entrance doors.
To the left of the dining area is the surprisingly modern looking kitchen, this villa has identified the areas where western appliances and designs are a must and incorporated them seamlessly into the property. White units house chrome appliances and a flat-screen TV is mounted on the wall.
To the right are four of the five en-suite bedrooms, each one also having a large flat-screen TV. The rear ground floor room has twin beds with green accessories and pretty voile hanging on the wall above the bed mirroring the Thai roof design. There's a wicker armchair and foot stool to assist in enjoying the views out over the entrance garden. The bathroom has a separate tiled shower room.
The front bedroom has a double bed, a similar armchair, a desk and a wall-unit housing the flat-screen TV. The bed is made of teak with bamboo inlay and antique bedside cabinets stand on either side. The bathroom has a free-standing bathtub, separate shower room and an inner garden with outdoor shower.
Upstairs the rear bedroom is fitted like the downstairs rear room with twin beds and similar furniture, the accessories this time are pink and there's a balcony to enjoy the view over the front garden. At the front is the master suite with double bed, dark wood furniture, desk, wall unit and chairs. The balcony gives outstanding views of the garden, pool and out across the ocean. In the bathroom is a feature sunken bathtub and shower room.
Back down stairs, following the water feature from the dining area takes you out onto a large terrace and landscaped area. To the left is the final bedroom suite, with double bed, blue accessories and similar furniture as in the other bedrooms. A walk-in dressing area and en-suite bathroom with bathtub, shower and inner garden with exotic plants and an outdoor shower complete the room.
Separating that from the living area is a terrace and well planted garden. The polished wooden floor with a stone border creates a canvass on which the collection of ornaments, antiques and selected furniture creates a homely and comfortable ambience. Carved wooden ornaments, a decorative elephant head sculpture, enormous mango wood candle stands, rattan furniture with white upholstery and numerous lamps all combine to provide a cosy and intimate atmosphere.
The lounge looks onto the immaculate garden and out to sea, and to the side is the tempting blue-tiled swimming pool and waterfall feature. An expansive decked area surrounds the pool and provides space for the woven all-weather sun-loungers. At the end of the pool is the sala with kitchen, bathroom and array of garden furniture. Steps lead down to a further garden tier which has a covered decked area where you can sit just above the sand and enjoy the sunsets over the ocean. A private gate also leads onto the beach. The villa is located within sight of the Raja Ferry where locals commute from the island to the mainland. The ferry pier can also be a decent reminder that when you live in these peaceful surroundings, others are travelling in the busy parallel universe.

We had a great time with the impeccable service and attention to detail. It was a amazing holiday in Baan Tao Talay! Service staff provided a very professional services, sweet smile and very thoughtfully. Food and beverage were nice, especially the house made a cup of "Latte", food presentation was nice. Every meal was a culinary festival and every minute was in heaven. We will be back!!
We had introduced to friend and family already. They are interested in Baan Tao Talay and would like to plan to Baan Tao Talay immediately.

I had the pleasure of staying in Baan Tao Talay in March this year, and could not rate the experience of staying there higher. the house is exceptional, with a very relaxed feel and wonderful facilities, but particularly special is the food and the staff.
Khun Joy (apologies if the spelling is wrong) is a wonderful caring house manger and looks after the guests' every need.
I am delighted to give this the highest rating and recommend it to anyone.

It is very difficult to fault the perfect facilities coupled with the very personal service provided by Khun Joy and her team. I believe that Khun Joy had been voted the best villa managress in 2012 when I was staying and I very much look forward to returning to Baan Tao Talay where on a daily basis we could have yoga lessons, massage and the local tailor would come round to order. A wonderful winter retreat.
"The ultimate getaway for a proper relaxing break."

I can close my eyes, imagine the scene and instantly feel relaxed. Khun Joy and her team make for a ridiculously chilled break. Amazing food, stunning tranquil surroundings and a divine place to go to recharge. I thoroughly recommend the yoga with Sanya (he can come daily) and I can't wait to get back there. It's truly one of life's little treats returning to BTT. I've been twice so far and really want to return again. It's just beautiful. Lovely interiors, air con if needed and plenty to do if you're feeling adventurous. Book it now...x

This was the best holiday destination and experience we have ever had and we are looking forward to revisiting. The villa is exceedingly comfortable and beautifully designed which work so well as a group or just for 4 of us. There are places within the grounds to escape to for solitude but also different eating areas and places that work brilliantly for the group. Khun Joy is adorable and nothing is too much trouble. I worked out in the air conditioned gym each day which made the delicious food even more tasty.

We stayed here with friends and had the most wonderful, relaxing time. Khun Joy and her team looked after us immaculately, incredible food and delicious cocktails too! The rooms are very comfortable and there are several areas to relax throughout the garden. The pool is large and the sea is at the end of the garden!
I will definitely book again.

Khun Joy runs this villa beautifully and is an excellent cook and maker of the best rum punches. Sip them in the warm pool before proceeding to the open air dining area overlooking the sea for a delicious lunch or dinner. The bedrooms are very comfortable as are the indoor and outdoor entertainment rooms. All are decorated to the highest standard. The staff are friendly and efficient. Can't recommend it more highly!

My daughter flew from Australia to meet up with me and family, and we had the most blissful happy time at this wonderful house. The staff were beyond belief helpful nothing was too much trouble. The stillness and peacefulness of the grounds and garden, made you feel that you were on your own little island. Having flown a long way to all meet up, we were all overwhelmed by the total luxury and comfort, it really was one of the best holidays I have ever had.

Our stay at Baan Tao Thalay completely exceeed all of our expectations!
The lay out of the villa was perfect, all five ensuite bedrooms are beautifully spread out and have all the luxuries one could ask for. The garden and pool area were naturally a real favourite, but the trully special feature of this villa was its proximity to the beach and mesmerizing sunset views! The end of the garden is two steps away from the pristine sandy beach below! We thoroughly enjoyed dining al alfresco in the magnificent sala overlooking the sea and the food and the staff were amazing. A special thanks to Khun Joy and her team for taking such good care of us and being so efficient and welcoming.
