The main bedroom contains a king size bed, walk-in robe and large courtyard garden en-suite.
Rooms 2 and 3 have queen size beds, large robes and en-suites.
Each bedroom is air conditioned and very secure with lockable sliding glass doors.
The villa is spacious with beautifully appointed interior décor and has a fresh open style living in the lounge, dining and kitchen area. Some memorable features include marble bench tops, terrazzo flooring and expansive mirrors which bring the outdoors inside.
The private swimming pool is in a small garden and sports shaded wooden decking with a pool lounge.
The villa also has electronic security.
Cleaning staff will come each day and the pool is serviced three times per week.
Room to park a car.
The Villa comes furnished with a large fully serviced western style kitchen with all that you need, ie. full sized fridge, toaster, microwave, blender, cutlery and crockery.
The living area seamlessly transcends to the outdoors with a very open style of design.
Previous guests say the villa is great for honeymooners, family reunions or a peaceful retreat for those wanting to escape busy lives. Come alone or bring a group.
We are away from the hustle and bustle of the busy tourist side of Bali but only minutes from beautiful restaurants and shopping in Seminyak, Petitenget and Canngu. For something different try a visit to the nite markets and buy a tasty meal for one or two dollars from the small food vendors.
For those staying for an extended visit the local shops have all that you need. These can be found everywhere. I like to frequent the very small local shops, they are an experience in themselves. The owners are very friendly and offer everything from phone credit to alcohol to eggs and noodles. ATM machines are also everywhere.
A twenty minute drive will get you to the centre of Kuta for those wonderful shopping trips in Poppies Lane.
All along the way to Kuta are intriging shops, wonderful restaurants and markets. Take your time, stop, explore and browse, you will be rewarded with some very interesting and unexpected surprises and bargains. For an excellent choice in dining, day or nite, find the fantastic Eat Street [Jalan Laksmana] in Seminyak.
Also discover Petitenget for some great restaurants, it is a simple short cut across the rice fields. Wayan will give you a map.
The villa is now 4 years old and has just been repainted, pathways and the parking area have been revamped and improved and some furniture has been replaced.
Luxurious but not over the top, the villa has a beautiful chilled-out homely atmosphere which combines the modern with a few traditional Balinese features...you will not be disappointed.
There is also a private simming pool for relaxation and cooling off in the hotter months.
Ketut will clean each day for you and the pool man comes three times a week.

Villa di Sawah. Kerobokan/Umalas/Seminyak area Kuta, Bali, Indonesia
Additional Location Information
Situated in the rural Village of Kuwum, the villa is next to a large rice field and overlooks a small creek (with small fish and occasionally ducks).
The approach along the gang is a mix of Balinese homes and modern rental villas plus rainforest jungle. Interesting holy shrines are situated next to the villa.
Villa di Sawah means Villa by the rice paddy. A luxury villa, very secluded, private and peaceful. The villa is to be found at the end of a small gang of locally populated villas, so no passing traffic.
Beautiful rainforest jungle abounds, the monster bamboo offering a lovely green veil of shade in the afternoon.
There is a taxi standby located very close to the villa and Seminyak is just a $2.00 fare away. Ask for a driver with a high undercarriage vehicle as the normal taxi cannot negotiate the last section of the gang which hasn't been paved yet. Better yet, why not hire motor bikes, the traffic looks horrendous but palan palan (slowly slowly) and hati hati (carefully) and in no time you are flowing with the best of them...much easier than it looks.

Hi my name is Jane and I am from Newcatle in NSw Australia. I have stayed at the Villa twice now, each time for around a month with both friends, my partner and Family.
I love the location and the people. Wayan is always more than happy to help with anything you need and his English is very good. Doreen is only ever a text away if you need her. Ketut comes and cleans and is a joy to be around. Although she has little English, I really enjoy learning from her and teaching her. She is getting very good at writing in english. The rooms are lovely and each has its own bathroom. The gang leading down to the Villa is fun in itself, with many animals to meet, and the local villagers are very friendly. It is an experience that can be described as the Real Bali, away from the hustle and bustle of kuta, but close enough to either drive or jump in a cab and be where you want in ten minutes. "it just feels like my Bali home". Anyone who has put a poor review in relation to the Villa obviously has the expectations of royalty. You should probably avoid 3rd world countries and culture itself. Im not sure why people travel to Bali (being a third world country) and complain if there are Geckos in their rooms or leaves in the pool??? If you dont love this villa Id be very surprised.
Would you recommend this vacation rental to a friend?

Extremely Bad Experience! Do not Recommend!

I had found this villa through trip advisor and saw all the good reviews therefore i rented the place for 4D3N. Had contact doreen, shes a nice person, prompt in replying my email. I have paid for 1.5N deposit.
We have a total of 6pax and the whole villa is ours. We checked in the villa on the 9th Feb 2012. The location is really extremely secluded. You need to get through an extremely narrow bumpy road before you reach the villa. Its really dark at night that you are not able to walk in. You will need a car to drive in. Cumbersome to the max. The swimming pool is dirty that you wouldnt even want to go in.
On the 1st night, we reach the villa around 11pm. It was raining that night. After we are back, the whole villa is a mess! And guess what. The shower is not working! There is no warm water for showering at all! So i woke up Koling and ask him to turn on the water heater. After several attempts, the warm water came but its only a few droplets that you cant even bath. That nite, everyone of us bathed in cold water! Furthermore, the bathroom is in outdoor. Its extremely cold! We only managed to sleep around 3am! We were so frustrated that it cant be solved. On that night, we immediately book other hotel for the rest of our 2 nights. I immediately checked out the very next day. I called doreen aussie no and theres noone answering so i called another no and the husband answered. I told him the situation and he advised me to call her again. I try to call doreen but no reply.
Im really glad and relieved that i didnt stay in the villa for the rest of the nights. I emailed doreen after im back and request for refunds. Till now, i have yet to get a reply from her. Extremely disappointed with the whole villa!
By the way we found cockroaches in the rooms! Read more
A very unfortunate experience for these poor guests.
By way of explanation regarding complaint. I would like to respond thus.
The villa is semi open in the lounge dining and kitchen areas, it is part of the beauty of the tropics that this is possible. However when storms are strong and heavy downpours occur, at times for days on end, [as was the case at the time of these guests arriving], bamboo leaves do blow into the garden, pool and part of the interior of the villa. [The bedrooms themselves are totally weatherproof].
SWIMMING POOL: At times of heavy downpours the natural red colour of the hardwood roofing shingles can stain the water. I have visited the villa many times and have not had this experience, however it has occured twice in two years as reported to me by my manager. With time the wood will mature and fade and will not be a problem, it is not dangerous to health in any way.
WATER PRESSURE: From time to time this has been a problem due to the calcium in the water which will build up within the pump, little bits break off and then the plumber fixes blockage. Wayan has this rectified as soon as he is notified. Recently a new and bigger pump has been installed.
The main suite has a courtyard bathroom. A design feature, which in fact has been highly praised by the majority of guests. Each ensuite is also open in part to the outdoors, this reduces heat and humidity discomfort.
As in the past when dealing with any problem, and nothing always goes 100% perfectly for 100% of the time, I am happy to negotiate a refund. Please by email if not by phone.

Many positives for this villa

-Perfectly quiet & peaceful.
-Nature abounds around the villa.
-Beds very comfy and new
-Wayan the house-boy/security guy lives in the staff quarters. Even tho has does not have good english He is a happy guy and it was fun to try and communicate. It usually turned out ok using his english/indonesion book and drawing pictures. Nothing was too much trouble for him.
-Komang the villa managers wife cooks very well and made us quiet a few balinese meals.
-Komang along with Wayan kept the villa very clean.
-Pool is medium sized and always clean and warm...the frangi flowers floating in the water were a gentle reminder of the beauty of nature..
There were a few draw-backs.
-The track to the villa is very damaged from torrential rains so a normal taxi found it very difficult to use. However the villa manager [Wayan Paka Jaya] offers a driver service and he has a 4 wheel drive...sinkin can [no worries].
In the end we hired motor bikes for short trips and just to have a look arround. Got lost many times but we always found someone who spoke enuf english to help us find our way.
-Mossies were a small problem, but the good old mossie coil did a good job.
Overall the villa offered a calming ambience and excellent design. I will definately come again..., it was very affordable.
