Additional Location Information

Our guesthouse is located 8 miles north of La Crescent, MN and 20 miles south of Winona, MN. We are about 15 minutes from the cities of Onalaska and La Crosse, WI, and an hour east of Rochester, MN. The guesthouse sits on our 20 acre property just off of Apple Blossom Scenic Drive 500 feet above the Mississippi River valley in apple country. We are located in a beautiful spot conducive to all kinds of outdoor activities including canoeing, kayaking, fishing, birding, hiking, skiing and, our very favorite; bicycling. Within a half hour, you can be at the trail head of the well known Root River Trail in MN, or the Great River trail system just across the river in WI. The cities of La Crosse and Onalaska both offer access to many good restaurants, bars, and events as does Winona, the home of the annual Shakespeare Festival among other things. Amish country and the handmade crafts they sell are about an hour away to the east as well as the west.
