LOVELY TRADITIONAL CASA- SUPER VIEW/STEPS TO BEACH
FROM the moment you step through the door into Casa Vista de Yates, you will feel the warm welcome of Mexico. Walk onto the patio surrounded by beautiful gardens, and overlook the new La Cruz Marina, the sailboats, fishermen, and beautiful Banderas Bay. At night enjoy the sparkling lights of Puerto Vallarta.
OUR home is located in the small fishing village of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle, about 14 miles north of the Puerto Vallarta International Airport. Far enough away to escape the hustle and bustle of city life, it is still close enough to enjoy the nightlife, sightseeing and fun of the city.
CASA Vista de Yates is a private, secure, 3 Bedroom completely furnished, traditional Mexican home for adults and families. It is beautifully appointed and suitable for the most discriminating guests. You can relax on the patio and swim in the blue tiled swimming pool, or walk 100 steps to the white sand beaches of La Cruz de Huanacaxtle. Casa Vista de Yates has tiled floors throughout and a complete kitchen with everything you might need to prepare gourmet meals. The water supply is equipped with a water purification and pressure system. Maid service is provided once a week with towels changed when needed. Additional maid service may be arranged through our property manager for a small fee.
On the first floor of the Casa is the large master bedroom with tiled bath, king size bed and patio overlooking the ocean and marina. Also there is a spacious second bedroom with queen-size bed and half bath looking out over the gardens. All bedrooms include foam mattress toppers and luxury linens for your sleeping comfort. The living area includes a dining area and living room with a TV with DVD, CD player and stereo. Up the tiled staircase, you will find another comfortable sitting area. The second master bedroom has a king size bed and beautiful traditionally tiled bath with a deck and breathtaking view of the new La Cruz Marina and Bay of Banderas. The Casa is walled and gated for your privacy and security. IT IS A PERFECT PLACE TO RELAX.
HERE, along this mile stretch of beach, are several luxury homes - our Mexican paradise. It is easily accessible by the main highway to Punta de Mita. Dennis and Adam, at Gecko Rent a Car in Bucerias will pick you up at the airport and deliver you and your car to our doorstep. In La Cruz you can enjoy the ambiance of a small Mexican village with small shops, traditional taco stands, wonderful bakeries, but also first class restaurants such as Frascati's Italian Restaurant, Black Forest Restaurant with traditional German and International food and the new La Cruz Yacht Club Restaurant, and our favorite for tacos -- Tacos on the Street.
IF you do tire of the lazy days, we can easily arrange a variety of tours for you including: ATV Tour, Canopy Tour, Diving and Snorkeling Trips, Shopping, Swimming with the Dolphins, Fishing, Golfing and many more. The Puerto Vallarta area is alive with exciting things to do, day and night.
WHAT more could you ask for? Perhaps someone to prepare a meal or two occasionally. We can arrange a traditional Mexican chef to come to the Casa and prepare a delicious meal for you at a reasonable cost. Also we have a massage therapist available who will come to the Casa and spoil and relax you with a therapeutic massage. The above services can easily be arranged by calling our local Property Manager.

This home is perfectly set up to walk through the door and immediately relax. If you ever feel the need to leave the outdoor terrace table with views over the marina and across Banderas Bay, and a pool for the kids, then the little slow-paced town of La Cruz is great.
Friendly locals & expats and lovely town square. Immaculate new marina with many open slips, and impressive sailing center. Nice to watch the racing lasers and optis everyday from the home's back yard -- Mexico's future Olympians. Reasonable driving distance to good surf spots (although quite small when we were there) between La Cruz and Punta de Mita, or in Sayulita.
I have traveled in Mexico several times since1986, and apart from more coastal development, it has the same look and feel it always did. Despite the media furor about rising gang violence, nothing ever seemed threatening here. I say go to la Cruz and have a great trip.

We started out going for the Casita and after the first night and being shown the Yates house we were quickly on the phone to get the house for the rest of our vacation. Don't get me wrong. The casita was really cozy and comfortable, but Yates is where we wanted to be. Before I get too far into my review, I have to say that Linda is a pure pleasure to work with and a tremendous resource for things to do and folks to hook into when in La Cruz. Love ya Linda...don't ever change!
Okay, Casa De yates...in description the want for nothing place to stay. la Cruz downtown is a 5 minute walk. Walk out your back yard past your private pool, through the little gate and BaM, looking at the marina where we bought fresh caught Lobster and Shrimp to throw on the BBQ on the back porch. I mean it's not more than 50 yards and no, there is no oder from the Marina like you would think. The master bdrm up stairs gives a commanding view of the bay and Marina. Look left and you can see the silouette of the Malacon, veer right La Cruz. The house has all of the dishware you would ever need. The knives were a little dull, but that would be my only recommendation to change. The furniture was very comfortable and for a gringo like me we had a pretty good selection of english speaking channels to watch on TV. The Vonage phone was a nice addition.
The services that Linda has to oversee the property are top notch. From the lanscapers to the maid services to Patty Moss the Concierge for the Yates house were great. Patty set up for us to have a dinner made and ready for us when we arrived and it was great.
I could go on and on about Yates but this should say it all. We already have it booked for the entire month of November of this year (2011) and can't wait. It gives you that going to your second home feel.
Must see in La Cruz...Philos, La Cascada, Yayas, Tacos on the street, and the Marina. Look for Tommy. He's a riot.

Had a great stay at this house with 7 other friends. Very comfortable and a fantastic location right above the marina and fish market. There's great beaches a stroll away and the cobble-stone streets of La Cruz right out the front door. Great restaurants within walking distance and even more great is an 80 peso cab-ride away in Bucerias. Downtown PV and the surf town Sayulita are each a reasonable cab ride or drive away. But why go there when you've got a great house to stay at!? The house is open and airy with a fantastic view of the harbor. The pool is a great relief from the afternoon heat. The property is a safe and sunny vacation spot.

Linda and Charlie have beautiful Mexican home! They were extremely kind and helped us find all the best local spots in the area. We stayed there for about a week in the casita and really enjoyed our time! Being able to wake up, walk down to the fish market and around the marina every day with a cup of coffee is something I will never forget. The Higgins went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of and I can't wait until we can come back and stay again!

The Casa was as nice as advertised. Property manager was on site when we got there to show us around and explain how things worked. She was available 24/7 if we needed her for arranging taxis, hiring cooks and booking excursions. The pool was beautiful and spotless and frequently maintained. The beds were comfortable. La Cruz was a quaint and quiet area. The house was very clean. There was free phone service to the us & Canada. We will rent this house again. Booking the rental was very easy and the owners answered all of our questions and kept in touch by email.

It was a beautiful Mexican home with plenty of room for friends and family. The house felt very authentic but with modern conveniences like a flat screen tv, bowflex workout equipment, air conditioning and internet access. The pool was wonderful and the view from the yard was spectacular. Patty, the local house manager, was incredibly helpful and hospitable. The location was great, it was a short walk along a beautiful marina into town.

The rental manager met us on our arrival. They had arranged pick-up at airport and dinner at casa. Went over everything at casa with us. The casa was very clean and nice, really roomy both upstairs and down. Nice pool and garden area. Very quite neighborhood and helpful (letting me use phone to call rental manager-Patty when I locked us out). Patty came right away to help us. Nice marina and beaches in the area. If we return to that area will rent again.
