A HOLIDAY PARADISE – Beach, NFL Football, & Wine

We still have a month left in August before most of the schools start. Don't worry our beach is never crowded like our neighbor's s to the North, Rosarito or to the South Ensenada. As you walk to the North, you will feel like you are on your own private island. There is a mile and one half of enjoyment in front of our home. For the surfers, there is a goofy footed break right out front. Of course, World Famous K-38 to the North and Salassipuedes (Hawaii types to the South). Boogie boards are supplied. Just pack your bathing suit, and fishing pole(halibut and perch in August).

Our two bedroom one bath house is located just steps from our ...Read more

Additional Location Information

Our tranquil village of La Mision is located 45 minutes South of the US. border. We are half way in between the bustling towns of Rosarito and Ensenada. If you are looking for lots of people, loud music, and the younger bar scene - Rosarito (20 minutes North) will be more suited to your taste. Ensenada (25 minutes south), on the other hand, offers a large, crowded city atmosphere with a fabulous fish market, reasonable shrimp and fish tacos, and lots of shopping. Please, visit both nearby cities and see why we chose our quaint little spot on the beach in between them. La Mision is a small, gated, patrolled beach community with restaurants close by.
One of our greatest assets is our pristine, white, sandy beach. It is not only wide, but offers over a mile and a half of enjoyment. Normally, we prefer to walk to the North. Most of the year, it is like being on your own private island. For surfers, we have a goofy footed break right out front. Volleyball net/( posts in front) and boogie boards are provided, but please, ask to make sure that they are available.
For the fisherman, our beach offers an array of options. Perch, bass, halibut (in August), and clams as well as crabs, muscles, and octopus can be found in the rocks to the North. The smaller kids can find shells and hunt sand crabs. For the serious fisherman, there are Charter Deep Sea fishing boats out of Ensenada.
If you would rather not BBQ your seafood or steaks from home, we have a number of local restaurants outlined in our “Helpful Hints” brochure.
As you enter our gated community, the friendly guards will ask you to fill out information for a visitor's pass. This will allow you to pass freely during your stay. We have parking for two cars inside our gate at the house.
Seven minutes to the south of us is Baja Mar. It is one of the oldest golf courses in Northern Baja. Their Ocean course is quite challenging. There are additional courses in both Ensenada and Rosarito.
Should you have any problems or questions during your stay, feel free to call us .
Here’s hoping that you will come and visit our slice of paradise. Then, you also can see why we love it so much. After 40+ years in Baja, I would not steer you wrong!
Regards,
Willie, Dick and Aracely
