Very nice place!
We rented both Turtle Hale and Pineapple Hale. The house(s) was very clean, well maintained and updated. It suited our needs perfectly. The caretaker was very responsive and went out of her way to accommodate us and our needs. She responded to all my texts and emails promptly and was very friendly and helpful; responding to all my questions both before and during our visit. She even helped me with items that I needed to decorate a wedding cake for my son's wedding.
We needed to accommodate a very large group, so we didn't really have the luxury of choosing a location. But we burned up the road between this house (in the North Shore area), Honolulu (where most of the wedding guests were staying) and Kailua/Kaneohe (where the wedding/reception) took place. It seems that anywhere we went was about an hour drive. We expected to drive a lot and, while inconvenient, wasn't really an issue for us. But everything did seem to be a bit closer looking at the map.
The only real issue we had was the lack of air conditioning. It was unbearably hot in the house(s) most of the time. Opening the windows did help, but we were required to keep them all closed whenever we weren't there. It was stifling upon our return and took a very long time to cool down after opening all the windows again. To be fair - we were told by virtually EVERYONE we came across on the island, that such extreme heat was quite unusual on the island any time of year. The trade winds had shifted (or something like that) making it pretty uncomfortable for everyone - including locals. I understand that most homes on the island do not have A/C.
The house is on a very busy road and there is some road noise, but it tended to stop soon after dark and stay quiet most of the night.
We had several small children in our group and although they were well supervised, it was nice to have the yard fenced in so we didn't have to worry about any "escapees" getting into the very busy street.

“Great location in a well kept house”
The house was in a great location very close to the beach. Close as in not on the beach, but only the driveway, and one street and then the beach. The beach was probably 15 feet from the property. We rented both the upstairs and downstairs units which were both kept in impeccable shape. The backyard had a very nice space as well with a little river in the back. We enjoyed a bbq one night and again loved the backyard space. The house has all wood floors. One thing to note though, is the house did NOT have a/c. We didn't mind too much, but may play a factor for those who enjoy sleeping in colder temperatures.

Amazing place to stay
This cottage is so wonderful, it is hard to leave. The beach is literally a step from the back yard. There is lots of open space around the cottage, great for little kids to run around. The sound of the waves and views of the sea are just beautiful. We also greatly appreciate the help during reservations and flexibility offered to make this stay a memorable one for us! Thank you!

Hawaii at its best
A great home right on the beach! Quiet, clean (no bugs at all, impressive for Hawaii) and you'll never want to go to bed because sitting on the deck watching the moon and waves are what a Hawaiian vacation is supposed to be like. So close to the Polynesian Cultural Center you can walk, close to grocery stores. 45ish minutes from the airport - I'm so glad we stayed on this end of the island.

Loved the Home
Very happy with the vacation home, we will definitely be back. As an Oahu resident, this was great for us to just have a weekend getaway. We loved the location (very close to the Polynesian Cultural Center), and the home itself was very clean and well-kept. Owner was very helpful with rates and dates and seemed to want to do what it takes to keep our business. I felt like a valued member of their Ohana. Mahalo!

Laie Beach House Rental
The beach house rental was really an awesome experience. We fished right off the beach for two days. Beautiful sunrises. The house was very cozy, clean & spacious. Highly recommend! Staff was pleasant and professional thru the transaction process. We definitely consider renting again.

We had a great time!
This is the perfect beach house! It worked well for us because our daughter is attending college at BYUH and her apartment was within walking distance. We really loved the view of the ocean and our own personal beach access. The kitchen was small but had everything we needed. The grocery store is also very close. We would definitely stay here again.

We had a great time at your place. The beach is a few steps and your home was clean, comfortable and we enjoyed our stay there. We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center and the closeness of your home to PCC is definitely worth it. Thank you for an amazing place, we had a great time! It is also the perfect get away for us since we live in Honolulu.

Perfect family vacation
The house was exactly as advertised; very cute and clean. Great for families with kids, but I’d love to come back with just my husband for a romantic couples trip. Beach was gorgeous and just a few steps from the back yard.

Yes -and when we had a problem with the stove, they helped us right away. Was the owner helpful in answering your questions or concerns? Yes -very prompt in returning emails Would you recommend this property to a friend or relative? Yes- great for families. What nearby activities, attractions and restaurants would you recommend? We loved the Polynesian Cultural Center and the Laie Temple Visitors Center. We had a great time here in Laie. Our family of four enjoyed the “home away from home” experience while on vacation. I couldn’t believe how close we were to the beach! We loved cooking at home and eating on our porch. It’s also within walking distance of the Polynesian Cultural Center, which was great. Home was clean and comfortable and we loved it!

Quiet and cosy
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Owners and caretakers are extremely friendly and helpful. "Boss" made us feel like one of the family. Location is excellent - PCC is a 3 minute or less walk across the street; 5 minute drive to restaurants, grocery store. Other beaches, shopping, Dole Plantation within easy drive. Nice to fall asleep to sounds of the surf.

Ok, so I am not a person that writes reviews but I feel I just have to about my vacation in Hawaii. The location is perfect, the facilities are perfect, really it is exactly what it says it is. Beach right in front is great, place was spotless clean, and the owner was really helpful and fulfilled all of my requests, it really was awesome. We stayed there in the beginning of Sept. 2010, and we have already sent in a request to stay there when we go back. I have told many of my friends that vacation there that this is the place to stay.
