“Perfect Cape Cod Vacation Cottage” We just returned from our week-long stay at this beautiful, immaculately clean cottage. We fell in love with it online, and it certainly did not disappoint! I can honestly say that there was not one thing lacking from this home. Everything we needed was included; just bring some food and a bathing suit and have a great time! The cottage was the perfect size for our family of four, and the family and friends that joined us on the beach for a day all loved the coziness and décor as much as we did. The ocean is a short walk away, but we bought a parking pass for the week, and were happy that we did. Although we did not explore as many different beaches as we thought we might, it was so convenient to have the pass and be able to pack all our things in the car, drive down to Inman Beach, and have the option to make quick (5 minute) trips back to the house for extra drinks/snacks, bathroom breaks, etc. Parking was never an issue at Inman, so there was no concern about losing a spot. Also, don’t miss out on picking up some steamers from George’s Fish Market. We ate them on the back deck after long days on the beach – perfect and delicious! We can’t wait to return next summer, thank you Lynn and Mark for sharing your home with us!

“Great location” We have rented this home or the adjoining big house every summer for over 25 years. We love the location and the owner takes great care of this property. This particular cottage is modest in size as well as amenities, but it is always clean and well kept. When we did have issues, the owner was very quick to react.

About Massachusetts

Home of Plymouth Rock, the Kennedys and the Red Sox, Massachusetts is the epitome of a New England experience. With the dense wilderness, balmy beaches of Cape Cod in the southeast and the bustling metropolis of Boston on the coast, there are plenty of sights and sounds to engage visitors. Indulge in a luscious bowl of New England Clam Chowder followed by the savory flavors of a freshly caught lobster. With every season bringing something special, from the crisp, brilliant leaves of autumn to the warm summertime beaches, there's no bad time to vacation in Massachusetts.

Some of the most storied and popular regions of the state include:

  • Cape Cod: Including both the cape itself and the offshore islands, which include famous Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard, Cape Cod is a vacation unto itself. Splendorous in summer, scenic in autumn and a joy in spring, Cape Cod is a must-see for visitors to Massachusetts.
  • Boston: One of the most historic and famed cities on the east coast and the capital, Boston is home to a world-class Museum of Fine Arts, the Harvard campus and a plethora of historical sites, beautiful streets and fascinating scenery. It's not an accident that over 16 million people visit the city each year. If you're with the family, many water parks in Massachusetts and amusement parks in Massachusetts are in the Boston area. In addition, most Massachusetts National Parks are a short drive from the city.
  • Pioneer Valley: Home to the historic counties of Franklin, Hampden and Hampshire, Pioneer Valley is the perfect place to chase down the fascinating secrets of the state's complex and lengthy history.
  • Berkshire Hills: The state's westernmost region is among its most beautiful. Some of the best camping in Massachusetts is in the Berkshire Hills area, and its quiet, out-of-the-way location greatly appeals to those seeking to slow life down a gear.
  • Provincetown: A hotspot of the arts, booming Provincetown was once a well-kept secret but is becoming a fashionable place for vacationers to visit.

During the summer and fall, both Boston and the Cape Cod area are alive with activity. It's a vibrant time of year to visit, with the beautiful beaches attracting thousands of patrons on a hot summer day and the legendary New England foliage making every turn a photo opportunity come fall.

A vacation rental is a more private, spacious and quiet alternative to getting a hotel room. Staying in a cabin is a perfect way to commune with nature if you're outside the city, and a condo or apartment rental is perfect if you're staying in the Boston area.

Explore more of New England by checking out the autumn leaves in neighboring Vermont, the rich history of New Hampshire and the colorful capital of Rhode Island, Providence. All these destinations are a short journey from Boston and offer memorable ways to round out your vacation.

Nauset Beach Charmer
Surprisingly private and a pleasant house.

The house was nice and close to the beach. Had a couple of minor plumbing hiccups that were dealt with swiftly and professionally. They caused us no inconvenience whatsoever and I mention them only because they proved that this is a well-run vacation rental. … see more

Boston flipkey

Great location, very close to airport and blue line. Owner was super nice and responsive. Furniture was very simple, beds were made and towels were laid out. Nothing too fancy, no couches, only office chairs, but it was a nice place to sleep after exploring Boston for a while! … see more
Colbyco Little Sandy Pond
Perfect home for my family's holiday season

This house was perfect for our family's 4 day pre-New Years 2022 gathering. We we're pleasantly surprised when we arrived, as the house felt much bigger than we expected. There were 4 main bedrooms, but the basement had a bedroom without a door and the master bedroom had an extension room, which was bigger than some of the bedrooms, themselves. There was more than enough space to accommodate all of us, with plenty of room to spare! The dining room was perfect for our buffet style dinner spread and the open kitchen/living proved to be a popular spot to hang out in while cooking and snacking. We used the grill to cook a great dinner! The pool table and the basketball hoop were nice to have for extra entertainment. The wifi was quite strong and the house had Verizon cable for watching TV/movies. The full sized laundry units helped us keep things clean before we went home and each bathroom toilet had bidets installed, which was a very nice touch. The area is a very quiet part of Plymouth, but we never felt "isolated" as there were other houses nearby (which was nice for us). The owner was very responsive and the information they gave us after booking was very complete with even recommendations for things to do nearby. I am giving this property 5 stars, as my family really enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate to recommend this to our friends or book this place again!see more
