Quinta de Recião is situated in a land where the Work of God gathers with the work of generations and generations to create one of the most beautiful and charming landscape of the World: DOURO!
Close to Lamego and a few meters away from the quiet fluvial beach of the Varosa river and its roman bridge, in Quinta de Recião, the mill and outbuildings, the caretakers house and the kitchen with fireplace and oven were recently restored.
These instalations are destined to welcome people who enjoy nature, in its most genuine expression: the melody of the silence broken by the songs of the birds, the soft swash of the waterfalls and... the bucolic sound of a mill, which invites us to fall asleep and dream with the paradise called RECIÃO.
An ideal spot to start an adventure through this land of wonders, enchantments and surprises, where nature opens the door to places of unforgettable beauty that reflect centuries of history, now a monumental patrimony.
Mill House is entirely at the disposal of the guests, so the rental doesn't include meals.

Response from the owner One year has passed since I'm renting the house and it's the first time a situation like this has happened. These customers found the house in Lonely Planet, but didn't booked it there. They searched for my phone number and decided to book by themselves. Since this happened in the day before, I gave them the option to pay at the arrival, instead of having to pay anything in advance. This was the agreement. There was a misunderstood at the arrival, but there was an agreement made at the time of the reservation and it was the same as nothing. In my entire life, I have never stayed in a place where I could stay and only had to pay when leaving or after a few days there. There was no insurance that the customers wouldn't leave without paying. It is a country house, it is close to the city but in a more isolated area, as it is easily seen in the 20 photographs available for everyone who is interested in the property. The house has the capacity for two people, therefore there is no necessity for a dishwasher and we offer the soap. Sheets and towels are available, as we say in the description of the property. Anything else can only be available with previous notice or agreement. Most bookings were made through "airbnb", where all the reviews can be read, whether they are good or bad.
