Additional Location Information

Lennox Head is a quiet seaside village on the north coast of New South Wales, Australia, and is situated on the southern end of Seven Mile Beach between Byron Bay and Ballina. The village has grown considerably in recent years and remains ever popular with beach goers and holidaymakers. It has a relaxed atmosphere with great restaurants, sidewalk cafes and interesting shops.

Spectacular views of the village and Seven Mile Beach can be seen from the headland at Lennox Point. Surfers know the beach well for its internationally famous ‘right-hand point break’, and many also surf the popular local waves. The headland offers hang-gliders the opportunity to launch themselves from the 65m cliff. From May to October, Lennox Head is an excellent spot to watch the migratory humpback whales pass close to shore.

Located on the northern edge of the village is Lake Ainsworth, a freshwater lake that has distinctive tannin-stained waters from the surrounding tea trees. The lake is popular for sail boarding and canoeing.
