Be our guest at our fully furnished charming vacation home located on 3 woodsy acres ! "The Cottage At Ligonier" sleeps up to 7 people and beckons you to enjoy all that the beautiful Laurel Highland Mountain area has to offer .

***We welcome families and friends for gatherings such as birthday parties, family reunions and so forth. However, our vacation rental home property is not a "Party House". If you are looking for a "Party House", we are, unfortunately, not the right fit for you. We expect guests to respect and cherish "The Cottage At Ligonier", as we do ourselves.

Things To Do :

Whether you're adventurous and are looking to go hiking, biking, skiing, white water rafting, and trout fishing, this is the place for you.

Or perhaps you're seeking out the peace and quiet of a porch swing, birds, nature walks, a stone fireplace, and roasting marshmallows around a campfire with friends and family, then this is the place for you.

Looking for a spacious place to relax while spending a few days at Idlewild ? We are only 15 min away !

"The Cottage At Ligonier" is a vacation retreat that draws guests back time and again with lasting memories.

Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen complete with dishwasher, coffee pot, belgian waffle maker, slow cookers, blender, and anything else you could possibly need . Two patios (one on each side of the stone springhouse) welcome you to eat outside with nature, and include a large gas grill and outdoor furniture.

"The Cottage at Ligonier" has central air conditioning, wireless internet, ROKU streaming TV in living room , small TV with VCR in one bedroom, and TV/VCR/DVD in unfinished basement, movies and books for all ages, boardgames and oodles of toys for children.

Out by the large campfire ring and Cottage woods, we have an (unheated) Pole Barn Rec Building filled with activities for all ages . Shooting Pool, Playing Ping-Pong , Foosball, or Air Hockey while singing to classic vintage record albums on the stereo is a popular guest talent, indeed :) Adults will enjoy corn-hole and darts, and children will love the "Little Tikes" cars, scooters, tricycle, and bikes.The Rec Building includes a lounge area with sofas and also an eating area, including additional banquet tables for picnic gatherings, and an extra fridge and stove.

We provide hot dog sticks and pie-iron pies for the campfire ring. A starter bundle of firewood is provided for your stay, and more firewood can be bought locally.

Inside "The Cottage", the two roomy upstairs bedrooms include a queen bed, a full bed, and 3 twin beds. An elevated queen-size Aero Bed and a porta-crib are also available for our guest's use. In addition, we provide baby gates and a high chair for those traveling with young children.

A washer and dryer are found in the unfinished basement, as well as an extra TV viewing area and toys for the kids.

The Cottage has 1 full bathroom (tub with shower) and it is located on the main floor.

We are located near Powdermill Nature Reserve (1/2 mile) and Linn Run State Park (about 8-10 min) away. We are centrally located between the ski resorts and Ligonier, about half way between Ligonier and the PA turnpike Donegal exit 91.

Wonderful restaurants, antique and boutique shops, and year-round festivals and events are 15 min away in historic Ligonier, as well as beloved Fort Ligonier and Idlewild Amusement Park. Fantastic live theater is available at Green Gables Mountain Playhouse ( 25 min), as well as winter and summer activities at Hidden Valley (15 min) and Seven Springs (25 min) Ski Resorts. Frank Lloyd Wright's "Fallingwater" and OhioPyle State Park are only 40 min away.

Very quiet,quaint and wonderfully secluded. Recreation barn is a great plus! Great cottage that reflects the beauty of a Laurel Highlands get away!

“Good experience”

We had bad weather would have enjoyed the out side experience more 3-5 inches of rain. The yard was well looked after we tried to enjoy the front porch as much as we could.
