Top Floor 645 Ft2,terrace 430 Ft2 on 3 Story House
Description from the owner
Charming and cozy apartment (645 ft2 / 60m2) with a large terrace (430ft2 / 40m2) on the top floor of a 3 story house in the heart of Miraflores, ideal for 2/3 persons, independent entrance, peaceful, sunny, comfortable and welcoming.
Decorated with locally handcrafted wicker and cedar furniture, warm colors, and arts and crafts that reflect Peruvian beauty and tradition.
Pots of bougainvilleas and other plants from the Peruvian coast dot the terrace which carries a relaxing touch of natural materials: dried bamboo walls and a eucalyptus trunk roof. Both sun and shade guaranteed!
Miraflores is a safe and beautiful neighborhood of Lima. The house is perfectly situated close to all amenities at walking distance (restaurants, shops, beaches, markets, museums...). Close to the house there's a health food store at one end of the block with a quiet patio and a relaxing fountain, perfect for a freshly made fruit juice and salads.
Walking the streets of the area is extremely pleasant. Friendly atmosphere, old typical houses of Miraflores and friendly people. I like to go out for lunch or dinner to La Mar street where one can find the best fish restaurants of the capital. For a fantastic Pisco-Sour go to the bar of La Gloria restaurant. Really the best.

We stayed one week in March 2011 in one of Rudy’s apartments. He made three apartments out of his family home, all three very different but all of them tastefully furnished. We decided to rent the top apartment situated on the second floor with a huge terrace. The property was as advertised and we had a wonderful week. The neighbourhood was great and seemed safe with many restaurants and shops within walking distance. We had the chance of meeting Rudy, the property’s owner, personally. He was very nice and helpful, arranged the airport transportation and provided assistance during our stay. Rudy, thank you very much, we will come back.

The whole experience of renting this property was comfortable and convenient. The property owner was very personable and helpful, as were his associates on site. The apartment itself was in a great part of town, the furnishings were up to date and comfortable, and the overall beach house/terrace feel was a great addition!

Rudy was great to work with. Despite being overseas, he was easy to communicate with and all financial transactions went smoothly. His caretaker, Roberto, met us right on time at the apartment and took the time to show us around and how to use the telephone. Rudy even called from France to make sure we made it in ok. Roberto left his cell phone number in case we required assistance during our stay. The apartment was spotless and spacious. All the necessary cooking utensils were in the apartment for your use. There is also a television with DVD player in the bedroom if you desire. The terrace is lovely!!!!! The only 24 hour restaurant in Lima is right on the corner for anyone who wants to hang out late night. We did not have a problem receiving our deposit back. Both Rudy and Roberto made us feel right at home and I would definitely recommend staying at any of Rudy's apartments....I hope to again one day!

the property was as advertised, my husband and I had a wonderful week, we walked all over Miraflores. There is a cultural center a couple of blocks away, that is an ancient Lima temple. There are restaurants and shopping centers all within easy walking distance, or a cheap cab ride. It is close to a long park along a cliff looking over the beach, and a tourist shopping mall. It seemed like a safe neighborhood, I appreciated the gate and the private terrace. The stairs were a little steep for my old knees and the bed a little tough on my old back, but the price was right and we had a wonderful vacation. Rudi was wonderful in arranging taxi rides for me from and to the airport, and I had his telephone number, and his local friend's number in case of any problems.

Everything was as Rudy had promised. His helpers in Lima were not only helpful but very friendly and reliable as well. The apt. was very pretty and much more spacious that a hotel room would have been. Everything you could possibly ned is within a short walking distance - and at night it was completely quiet.

Picking Rudy's place made my trip-- not because the space was great, which it was, but because the service was incredible. Rudy went above and beyond the call of duty and tracked down friends I had known in Lima over 30 years ago whom I had lost track of.
First, the place: Very quaint, lovely, quiet and very clean, with a great terrace and a nice surprise of basic items in the kitchen. Tea and bottled water were waiting for us and we even discovered coffee in the cupboards, along with oil, salt & pepper for cooking our eggs. And, it's right next door to Helena's, supposedly the best chocolate shop in Lima, as well as Madre Natura, a great natural foods store and restaurant. A coffee shop serving Pisco Sours is right around the corner, and the place is within walking distance of downtown Miraflores.
In renting from Rudy, I have made new friends, in plural, because the people working with Rudy are incredibly sweet. Having Cesar pick us up at the airport from our 11pm arrival made finding the apartment worry-free. and he promptly met us in the early morning hours to catch our flight to Cuzco. And Roberto, a friend of Rudy's family, who goes over the contract upon arrival, greeted us like old friends. He even drove us our first night to a near-by place for Pisco Sours because he said it was nicer at that time of night than the corner place. (A short walk back.) Rudy let us keep a few things there when we left the city for our trek and, upon our return, not only did Roberto happily meet us so we could retrieve our things, but he offered to drive us to our next event (a bit of a distance), and refused to take any money for gas.
I exchanged innumerable emails with Rudy before our trip and he was incredibly kind and accommodating. I can't thank him enough for all he did for me. You can certainly find cheaper places to stay in Lima, but they don't come with the family-feeling you'll get in staying at Rudy's. What a trip!!

Great flat and very nice people. Really glad we chose to stay with rudy in his cute and comfortable flat (instead of staying in one of these huge and ugly apartment blocks made of glass they have everywhere else in miraflores)!

I have stayed at this property for few days, I found it to be very spacious, very clean, tidy, central and in a very safe area.
The staff looking after this place takes pride and found them to be very friendly, helpful and knowledgable of the
area and on things to do, also they couldn't do enough to make our staying very pleasant and enjoyable one.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a home away from away experience , with all the conviences at your door step and close proximity to all touristic and nice areas that Lima has to offer.

I chose this apartment for two nights of a busy stay in Lima for its central location (between Miraflores and Surco) and for its balance of moderate price and space to entertain. It turned out to be a perfect choice!
Due to my lack of a phone to call I had some trouble contacting Rudy, the owner, to arrange the rental (we maintained contact through email), but throughout it all he was patient and very accommodating. His contact in Lima, Sr. Garcia, was equally so, and picking up the key, paying, and confirming the stay was a smooth and easy process.
The space itself was clean and modern, and comfortably decorated. The master bedroom was very comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with enough utensils to make simple meals. The extra seating around the bar and cushioned love seats were perfect as well for when I had friends over in the evenings.
I had been hoping to be able to make more use of beautiful terrace, but the weather too cool and it had less privacy than I was hoping for. I stepped outside to have a coffee in the morning and many of the construction workers hanging off the third and fourth stories noticed me and turned to look. But how could they not? It's situated in such a way that anyone from that future apartment or office building will have a direct view from their windows straight across to the terrace.
Overall however, it was fantastic, and I'd definitely look into renting it again, whenever I get the chance to return to Lima. Thanks to Rudy and Sr. Garcia!
