Byards Leap Lodge, 4 star, silver awarded

Byards Leap Lodge has been built to a very high standard in a location famous for the legend of Bayard and the witch, Bayard being a horse who was destined to carry a fine Knight in order to slay 'Old Meg'. The horse and his mount successfully carried out the task but in doing so leapt three times as the witch dug her talons into his rump. The horseshoes are still visible and are of great interest to visitors. Hence the name Byards (shortened from Bayard) Leap.

Golfing and fishing are pursuits enjoyed by our guests at nearby locations. Walking along the famous Viking Way is also an experience enjoyed by many.
