Everyone I dealt with from RentCottage.com were wonderful. They made everything clear and simple the way I like it. They were friendly and helpful. I will definitely use this company again, next summer.
The cottage itself was clean and ideal and better than I expected. The pictures did not do it justice. It was the perfect size and the proximity to town was a bonus.
Another bonus was the use of the water crafts and the ping-pong and pool table.
We had a really terrific week at Lighthouse View, Lions Head.
I don't like to be negative but the one down fall was the extremely rocky shoreline. It made getting into the water a little treacherous.

We very much enjoyed our stay. Having teenagers and friends, this cottage with games room, Pool and Ping Pong tables, paddle boat, canoe, kayak, row boat,DVD/VCR, satellite had much to offer.Unfortunately connections for satellite,DVD didn't work,my daughter used our computer to watch Dvd's,great selection of Dvd's and VHS tapes. Views from upper deck and dock with classic chairs are beautiful, much enjoyed for sunsets and campfires-looking out on Isthmus Bay,Lionshead Beach and Marina. Love being within walking distance of beach and downtown Lionshead.Have come to Lionshead for more than 20 years, very much enjoyed view and cottage.
I have one serious safety concern, which unfortunately greatly hampered the full enjoyment of our stay and could have been very disastrous. There is no proper lighting on the wood stairs coming from the back upper deck to the ground, it is pitch black at night coming down those stairs, as a result my 17 yr old daughter fell at the bottom of the stairs 2 nights before our departure twisting her ankle badly and injuring the hand which broke her fall. She was in much pain and could barely walk for the next 2 days, was not able to enjoy being with her friends or joining any activities with them such as swimming, walking around the town or the beach. We are lucky it was not far more serious than it was. I personally found it very precarious to descend the stairs at night and the stairs at the side of the property as well. If you do not do something re: the lighting, you could face serious repurcussions in the future. This was very disappointing, the last 2 days were when my daughter had her friends staying with us. It would be nice to be compensated in some way for this accident and the hindrance of fully enjoying our full time at the property, which was directly related to this safety issue of no lighting at night on either of these access points from the back deck and the side stairs, maybe with a credit next year.

We arrived to a quaint location with one phenomenal view! The cottage was very clean and accommodated our family very well. Extra excited to find an espresso machine...we Italians love our coffee. The view was nothing other than breathtaking from the back deck. We loved the personal dock and our kids thoroughly enjoyed the canoe, paddleboat, ping pong table and pool table. They were never bored! The location was great as we took a day trip to Tobermory, Sauble Beach, Owen Sound. Walked the Bruce trails, went to check out the grotto. Ideally located. We would highly recommend this location to anyone. It was a week that was enjoyed by our whole family and we would definitely consider the location again in the future. Thank you to the family owners of the cottage for letting us stay and for the use of your toys!!!
“One of the best summer vacations I spent with my family!”

Everything was just great with this lovely Lighthouse View cottage: the perfect view of the lighthouse across the small bay, the pebble beach with the crystal-clear refreshing water (maybe a bit too refreshing during cloudy periods but still perfectly admirable), the two-story cottage - so comfortable, quiet and roomy. What a vacation to remember!
