This is an excellent cottage/home and location. It has wonderfully decorated interior and all the amenities for a perfect stay. We stayed for a week and were not disappointed in any way. It definitely deserves its 5 star rating.
It is a quiet secluded property backing onto Lake Huron that also enabled us to see some magnificent sunsets. There is a small local beach a few minutes down the road. As well as an easy 30 minute drive into Tobermory.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Hottage cottage for a week in august 2012. A very large place for 2 people. We had planned to backpack but my girlfriend sprained her foot so we decided to go for a luxury cottage instead. It's a stunning place, very private, great kitchen. Amazing rock beach for swimming on Lake Huron. I swam several times and never saw anyone else on the shoreline. It could not have been more perfect.
