We rented this cottage spur of the moment for 1st week of July. Took advantage of a week off & jump started the summer. Had a serendipitous week of meals & experiences that the area has to offer. Cottage was clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated making it a pleasure to come back to. Location of cottage was central to lots of Bruce Peninsula sites.

Our family of 4 had a wonderful stay in Lions Head at the Lions Den. The people are friendly and very laid back. The accommodations are basic but quite sufficient. It is a brief walk to a wonderful park and beach, ideal for small children.
The one problem I saw that the cottage faced Helen street, which can be very busy with cars heading to the marina. The intersection should be approached with caution, especially with small children, as the motorists do not stop, and often fly through.
It is unfortunate that laundry facilities are not included; the nearest laundromat is in Wiarton, which resulted in a couple of day trips there that we were not planning.
The good far outweighs the bad, and we left the cottage tired and completely relaxed!

The cottage was just perfect. Rustic appearance. Very clean. Can't ask for more. Please note that the cottage is not beach front. However, it is so close you will not care. Privacy is poor in the yard and is the only downfall. Everything works. We had an amazing time with our 4 year old.
