Cottage Profile Three bedroom, 800 sq ft cottage located near Little Lake just off from Barrow Bay on Georgian Bay. Access to Little Lake is just 300 ft from the cottage, so enjoy a paddle out on the lake in the canoe or kayak that are provided at the cottage and take in the scenery and open air out on the water. The cottage itself is located on a back lot and has plenty of trees and natural vegetation to provide privacy during your stay as well as a serene atmosphere. The driveway is steep and is indicative of the rolling and rocky landscape of the Niagara Escarpment. The small but efficient kitchen has many of the amenities of home including fridge, stove, microwave and more. A bright window over the kitchen sink brings light into the space, while a dining table sits nearby with chairs for six. A ceiling fan overhead can help circulate the air. The comfortable living room space offers two couches and a couple of chairs situated by the wood-burning fireplace, to take the chill out of a cool fall evening. There is also a TV with a BluRay DVD player in this space, so bring your favourite movies to enjoy on a rainy day. The living room has large windows to bring in natural light and to give you a view out to the deck. There are three bedrooms at the cottage, 2 of the rooms each have a double bed, while the other has a set of single bunk beds. For your comfort, there is a ceiling fan in each bedroom as well as a window in each to let in some light or fresh air. The three-piece bathroom with a shower sits adjacent to the kitchen. Outside you'll find the 300 sq ft deck that is around part of the front of the cottage. There you can catch some sun or shade and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere while sipping your coffee or reading a great book. A round patio table with umbrella and four chairs is situated on the deck, as well as additional chairs for you to kick back and relax. A propane BBQ is provided for you to cook up a great grilled feast! In addition to the canoe and kayak, there is also a fire pit to enjoy during your stay, so don't forget to bring marshmallows! The backyard of the property backs up onto a hill and has large rocks amongst the trees. This is a cool area for kids to explore. For a dip in Georgian Bay you'll only need to travel about 1.5 km (or a quick 5 min drive) to the beautiful shoreline and public access at Barrow Bay, on Georgian Bay. There you can enjoy the cool and refreshing water, which is particularly great on a hot summer day! The shoreline is pebble rocks and the water is gradual entry at first before getting deeper - providing great swimming opportunities. The public access is via a grassy/gravel path between two private cottages. This cottage is just 5 km outside of the village of Lion's Head, where you'll find restaurants, a grocery store, an LCBO and local shops. Lion's Head also has a public sandy beach (great for the kids) and also access to the Bruce Trail at the Lion's Head Provincial Nature Reserve. There's much to enjoy outdoors!

It was just fine as we arrived I saw these I massive cliffs we hoped to trek to, but they all got chicken we hiked the nice trails instead, the protected lake was groovy but I really would have liked a dock that said hey ! you can hang here, but it was quiet all about so I improvised. In the back was an assortment of fascinating mini caves, among the forest There were no chipmunks !! my dog was confused, all that they had was fifty ducks on the shore, and a flock of geese, those crows and a haunting distant moo ing of cows at 7 am. The place was clean , spacious enough for me it is as a cottage should be, the sliding gate on the decent porch served purpose very well

What a beautiful cottage tucked away in a quiet, remote area with very little traffic.Everything we needed was provided (and more). Very clean and well maintained. The highlight was the use of the kayak and canoe within 300m of Little Lake. Make sure if you go out you take the channel and enjoy the amazing view as you come out onto Georgian Bay!!! Lion's Head is a lovely beach although there were lots of pesky bugs there this visit (not always). We also frequent Black Creek beach which is sandy, shallow and warmer on the Huron Side near Stokes Bay.
With three bedrooms each containing a double bed, we would have liked to have seen a bunkbed arrangement, but it all worked out just fine!
We had a few issues with electrical outage in one bedroom but the breaker was easily flipped to reset it.
Thanks for a great stay, we were very impressed with RentCottage and their proficient reservation staff.
