Additional Location Information

This apartment accommodation in Lisbon is located on one of the most central streets of the charming Bairro Alto which is a mixture of old-world, modern and urban living. This is the heart of the Bairro Alto, and next to all the best bars, cafes, restaurants and shops.

Local grocery stores and Portuguese taverns are side by side with fashion shops, trendy bars and clubs. The neighbourhood has the largest concentration and variety of restaurants in the city varying from traditional and cheap Portuguese tascas to purveyors of sophisticated cosmopolitan cuisine. In fact, a very well-known Lisbon restaurant, Pap'Açorda, is located just downstairs

From here you are close to some of the major attractions of the city. In fact you are two steps away from the Baixa/Avenida area. Avenida da Liberdade is considered to be one of the most important and expensive boulevards in the city where there are elegant international stores, restaurants, cafés and shops.

On the opposite side and stepping up the hill is the Principe Real neighborhood – famous for its exotic gardens and antique shops. The famous Tram nº28 passes nearby, and is a great option for exploring the most picturesque neighborhoods of the city.

Also nearby is the São Pedro de Alcantara viewpoint opposite the castle, and also a great leafy garden, the Príncipe Real Square with wonderful 200 year-old cedars. These two districts are famous for their restaurants, fado houses, bars and clubs. This Bairro Alto apartment is walking distance to the city centre, but you can also take the Metro in Avenida to explore the rest of the city.
