Additional Location Information

The apartment is located right at the heart of historical Lisbon, just a short distance from the main entrance to the Castle of São Jorge. Situated between to typical old neighbourhoods of Alfama and Mouraria.

Within walking distance of the appartment you will find most of Lisbon's principle attractions. Just down hill from the quaint and historical neighbourhoods you find yourself in the heart of down town Baixa and Chiado, where you will find esplanades full of restaurants, bars and cafe's.

In the surrounding traditional neighbourhoods you can find many traditional restaurants, cafes and bars. Alfama also houses some the best Fado houses in Lisbon. Families have lived for generations in this area, which still retains a village-like atmosphere and most of its quaint 18th century architecture; terracotta rooftops, little cobbled streets, and flower-filled balconies. It really is a great place to walk around soak up the atmosphere.

Whilst staying up on top of one of the seven hills of Lisbon why not catch one of the famous electric trams that run up and down the historical streets of Lisbon.
