The double bedroom is large and full of light, also with its own veranda. There is a large comfortable double bed, a large wardrobe and chest of drawer for storage. There is ample space for the addition of a children's cot for up to age 4 if requested, free of charge.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all necessities including oven, microwave, fridge, kettle. There is a small anex room housing the washing machine. There is also a dining room with a family dining table.
One of the most interesting features of this historical apartment has to be the large private roof top terrace with outdoor furniture. There is ample space to take breakfast outdoors or relax in the sun, it really is a charming feature.
In the surrounding traditional neighbourhoods you can find many traditional restaurants, cafes and bars. In Alfama you find some of the best Fado houses in Lisbon. Families have lived for generations in this area, which still retains a village-like atmosphere and most of its quaint 18th century architecture; terracotta rooftops, little cobbled streets, and flower-filled balconies. It really is a great place to walk around soak up the atmosphere, that is full of life during the day with a quiet and peaceful "village" feeling at night.
It is located right at the heart of historical Lisbon, just a short distance from the main entrance to the Castle of São Jorge. Situated between to typical old neighbourhoods of Alfama and Mouraria.
Within walking distance you will find most of Lisbon's principle attractions. Just down hill from the quaint and historical neighbourhoods you find yourself in the heart of down town Baixa and Chiado, where you will find esplanades full of restaurants, bars and cafe's.
There's public transport (bus) less than 10 meters the house, and it's only 10 minutes walk to the underground (Baixa-Chiado station) and 5 minutes to one of the stops of famous electric trams (28) that run up and down the historical streets of Lisbon.There is also a supermarket near the apartment.
