We loved the location, the amenities, the classical music library, the night sky, the 3 1/2 mile hiking loop above the cabin, the nearby moose, bear, grouse, magpies, eagles, and the proximity to Yellowstone Park.

We just spend 5 days at Bangtail cabin and could not have more pleased. It had everything we needed plus a lot more. The view was spactular, the cabin spotless and the beds great. We would certainly recommend Mountain Home Rentals.

I was taken ill on our vacation and this hideaway was perfect. I have never been anywhere so peaceful in my life-it was bliss!
The house is pretty well equipped in the bedrooms and out side but the living seating area only has two chairs -which was fine for a group of three, which we had, but may not suit others. Similarly the dining room has a table and chairs for four which is OK if you can eat mostly outdoors but would be less convenient in bad weather for a large group.
So overall recommend for groups of 4 max . The location is very convenient and easy access to Bozeman, Livingston and Yellowstone.

This home was perfect! My entire family enjoyed themselves and loved staying at the Bangtail Cabin. The house had everything we could possibly need while we were there. It was so nice to come home from a long day at Yellowstone to this house! The views are spectacular and so relaxing. We missed it the minute we left and can't wait to stay again!

Reservations via internet were seamless and staff was very helpful. Bangtail was easy to find and centrally located between Bozeman, Livingston, Yellowstone and Bridger Bowl. The cabin is very simple and modern--good use of the space. The cabin is tucked back in the mountain. Even though there are homes nearby, it is very private. Finish woodstove is very efficient and easy to use--and beautful. The master bedroom/bathroom upstairs is roomy and accomodating with a gorgeous view--and still a favorite spot even though its not fully private. The kitchen has modern appliances and high-end amenities. Great hiking right out the front door. Wished there was more seating in the living room, but there lots of great pillows and blankets to use. Our family of four enjoyed our stay and made great memories.
