The town of Loches is a jewel located at the heart of the Touraine, the “France's garden”, land of vineyard, gastronomy, vegetables, cheese. Extended over an area of just 100 km the Touraine boasts some of the most eminent Châteaux of the Loire Valley: Chenonceau, Chambord, Amboise, Chinon, Villandry…Despite the changes made over the centuries, the town of Loches still has much of its medieval and Renaissance heritage, 1000 years of history and architecture with the Keep, the Former Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame now St Ours, the Royal Apartments, the Chancellery. Since 2000, Loches has been part of the national network of Towns and Areas of Artistic and Historic Interest.

Response from the owner L'ameublement 'vieillot', si nommé par ces hôtes, est parfaitement visible dans les photos qui respectent totalement l'état des lieux et tous les électroménagers sont fonctionnels et marchent très bien. La chambre principale ne se trouve pas dans l'entresol, mais au niveau du rez-de-jardin, un niveau plus bas par rapport à la rue. Ca permet aussi d'avoir une paix et un silence incroyables. Le canapé-lit dans la pièce d'entrée (qui n'est pas un couloir) fait fonction de deuxième lit double. Personnellement j'habite sur place et suis très disponible en cas de besoin (d'ailleurs les hôtes-mêmes écrivent "propriétaire sympathique et disponible"); par contre, les hôtes ont attendu de rentrer chez eux après 6 jours de séjour pour se lamenter de l'humidité et du chauffage, seulement parce qu'ils avaient été incapables de le régler : jamais m'ont demandé de l'aide. Entre parenthèse, le chauffage électrique très modern est totalement autonome et facilement réglable. Enfin, c'est tout à fait normal qu'un logement du XVI siècle soit un peu sombre, avec ses magnifiques pierres de tuffeau rose qui gardent une fraîcheur naturelle si apprécié en été. Il suffit de regarder tous les autres avis pour comprendre la magie des lieux...
