Description
Situated on a headland with panoramic sea views, this imposing former sea captains’ house has direct access to a sandy beach and is within walking distance of Locquirec, a small and attractive fishing village. Built towards the end of the 18th Century this magnificent property is situated between the Pink Granite Coast and the Cote Sauvage on a beautiful and dramatic stretch of the north Brittany coastline, 45 minutes’ drive from Roscoff and two hours from St Malo.
This fantastic Breton house is set within partially enclosed grounds and just 150m from a wide sandy beach when the tide is out and about 20m at high tide. There are plenty of other beaches to explore including secluded coves accessible via the impressive coastal path.
Just a stone's throw away is the small seaside resort and fishing port of Locquirec, a traditional Breton village based around its harbour, with creperies, restaurants and art gallery on the seafront. The historic market towns of Morlaix and Lannion are within 30 minutes’ drive. A little further afield, the Pink Granite Coast is an incredible 30km stretch of coastline with a beguiling mix of pink tinged rocks, turquoise sea and white sandy beaches. To the west can be found the fascinating Abers, the Breton fjords, deep channels in the landscape that are ever-changing according to the tide.
Property over four levels. Ground floor: Living area with sofa, armchairs, TV, CD player, hi-fi, fireplace (not in use). Sea views. Garden level: Living room/games room with sofas, armchairs, TV, table football. Sliding doors leading to a furnished terrace with sea views. Dining room off the kitchen with table and chairs for 6-8 people. Sea views.
Ground floor kitchen opening onto the dining area. Electric oven, hot plates, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer (freezer compartment), kettle, coffee machine, toaster. Utility room with washing machine, drier, iron and ironing board. French door leading to furnished terrace.
Garden level: Double bedroom First floor: Double bedroom with Queen size bed, sea view and hand basin. Double bedroom with sea view. Twin bedroom. Childs bedroom with a small single bed Second floor: Double bedroom with sea view and twin bedroom with sea view. Capacity restricted to eight for your comfort.
Garden level: Shower room and separate wc. Ground level: Wc. First floor: Bathroom with bath and separate shower. Sea view. Separate wc. Second floor: Shower room with shower. Separate wc.
Large partially enclosed grounds. Two terraces, one sheltered from the wind. Large table and 10 chairs, built-in barbecue and 4 sun loungers. Short path leads to a decked area which is a real sun trap! Parking for 4 cars.
INCLUDED IN THE RENTAL
Bed linen and towels. For two week stays or more a change of bed linen and towels can be provided without charge if requested at the time of booking.
Water and electricity.
End of stay cleaning.
Holiday tax (taxe de sejour).
NOT INCLUDED
Refundable security deposit: 600€ (cash) refunded on departure.
