This second story unit overlooking the Atlantic ocean is around 1200 sq. ft offering beautiful views of the nearby mountains, the new added pool and a glimpse of the ocean. The interior was recently renovated with decorator colors, LCD TV, ceiling fans and cable TV and high speed internet connection. The kitchen is furnished with everything you need prepare great and economical meals with the fresh vegetables and fruits found on stands along the way. The condo is furnished with a queen size bed in the master suite, twin beds on the second bedroom and a full size bed in the third bedroom. Each bedroom has its own A/C unit. He unit also has full size washer and dryer, microwave, many kitchen appliances.
Rental starting at $860 per week during off season.
4 NIGHT MINIMUM

Guest Reviews....... The location was fairly easy to find with the directions and no problems gaining access, escorted by property security guard right to the condo. The photos don't do it justice as it lovely & very comfortable, had everything we needed. The beach is just across the property and is beautiful and very secluded. The pool area seemed nice but do to repairs it was closed the whole time we were there but we were so busy sight-seeing we really didn't miss it but I am sure it would have been enjoyable. All the information Maria provided was very helpful and informative and we had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay there again and would recommend to friends. My husband and I rented at this location looking for a place outside the "busy" San Juan area. However, we still wanted to stay close enough to restaurants, grocery stores, beaches, the rain forest and Old San Juan to visit the forts. This location checked every box. We easily were able to navigate our way from our condo at Malibu Rentals to and from San Juan (~20-25 min) and to Old San Juan to visit the forts (~40min depending on traffic). We spent a half day at El Yunque Rainforest (~30 min drive depending on time of day, go early to beat the foot traffic!!). We also drove to Luquillo beach (great public beach, ~4$ day parking) only 15 min drive. Lastly, we drove to Fajardo on the eastern edge of Puerto Rico to catch a ferry to Isla de Culebra (this was a longer drive from the condo, maybe 50-60min.) Great all day adventure if you are up for leaving early for ~1hr drive and 45 min Ferry ride to the island to find isolated beaches and great snorkeling…make sure to check ferry times though and give yourself plenty of time to get there (we caught 9am ferry to the island and 5pm ferry back).
The drive from San Juan to Malibu Condo Rentals does seem like you are going away from everything and entering a more remote area. For instance, there are horses and chickens on the road leading back to the entrance gate for Malibu Condos. This is what we liked about renting here. There was a sense of authenticity and tranquility about this location. And, despite being more remote and outside the typical tourist lodging, we felt very safe and the community is gated. There was also a super-walmart, walgreens, fast food, local restaurants and gas stations all within 10 minute drive, mostly located at Plaza Canovanas. This was important to us as we stayed for 5 days and cooked many of our own meals.
We also enjoyed our days were we just stayed at the condo and either read a book on the spacious terrace, went to the pool, or walked to the private beach for the condo property. The pool is great and the private beach is nice for close access for a short walk on the beach or just to lie by the waves. The surf was pretty rough and while we got in the water we did not swim at the private beach. We found Luquillo beach much more suitable for water activities, which again is only about 15 min drive and is a beautiful long beach.

Loiza is a small beachtown located on the northeastern corridor of the island of Puerto Rico, at the foot of the El Yunque National Rainforest, only 14 miles East from the San Juan International airport and 3 miles West of the prestigious and beautiful St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort and Golf Club, which offers elegant beachfront dining to the public. We are 30 minute drive from the 500 year old jewel - Old San Juan.
The Malibu complex is a beachfront gated community. A rental car is strongly recommended as there is practically nothing within walking distance but the beach. There are small convenient stores, a bakery, and couple of family owned small restaurants within 2 miles of the condo.

This was a very comfortable condo for the four of us. It had everything we needed: fast Wi-Fi connection to research our sightseeing trips; full kitchen to make breakfast in the morning; free parking for our car after returning fro out adventure trips; quiet clean pool to relax in the evenings and a nice beach just steps away.

I have already recommended this vacation rental to several of my friends that travel as it is a fantastic place to go!!! Grounds are beautiful, pools are fantastic and the place is peaceful!!! Close to restaurants, shopping & a short drive to the rain forest!! We will be coming back!!!

We had a wonderful stay at this condo. It came with everything we needed to have a comfortable and enjoyable vacation. Plenty of room for the 4 of us. We especially loved sitting out on the spacious porch in the evenings. Close to the pool and close to the ocean. The owner was very professional, polite and personable through email correspondence and quickly responded to all our questions. We also appreciated the binder in the condo with information about things to do and see in Puerto Rico, we found that very helpful.

We loved our vacation rental in Loiza PR! Everything about the unit, the grounds, and the overall location fit our needs and budget to a "t". Located on a beautiful sprawling and near-deserted beach (at least while we were there) the property offered seclusion and security, as well as close access to some of the island's best attractions: the rainforest, bioluminescent bay, Luquillo Beach, ferries to the islands of Culebra and Vieques, and more. Rental car is a must.
The cherry on the sundae was our wonderfully competent and communicative rental agent Maria Mayer, who went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. One of my sons has medical issues and travels with a nurse. We needed a solid contact to whom we could advance ship the many medical supplies he would need over the course of our vacation. Maria assured us we could count on her and she did not let us down! :)
The three bedroom unit we rented was located on the third floor and included our favorite feature: a private, furnished, and partially covered roof deck accessed by spiral staircase. The kitchen was well equipped and every kind of store just a short drive away.
One of things we liked best was the fact that these units, about 50 on the property, are mostly owned as vacation homes by Puerto Ricans who live and work elsewhere on the island. Since we were there during a holiday (Holy Week) we got to meet many of these owners and their families. They were friendly, fun, considerate, and full of great recommendations.
We experienced just a few minor issues: a plumbing problem which the owner, who was happened to be in town, quickly fixed. The wifi did not work but there was an ethernet cable which did; the cable was quirky but we didn't watch much anyway! The only area for improvement might be a bit more comfortable furniture in the living room; there wasn't enough for our party of 5.
We'll be coming back next year and bringing our friends and more family!

The condo community was gated...important for our family to feel a sence of security.
The access in and out of the condo community was easy and a reasonable distance from all of the areas we wanted to "explore". We did rent a van for all of our family adventures. It was nice to come back in the evening and play in the pool with the kids...have a wonderful meal and a few cocktails.
The condo was clean and comfortable. The person we recieved the 'condo key and condo tour' from was very friendly, helpful and met us on time in the condo location...much appreciated.
There was a bit of a challenge with the Canadian/ US exchange rate for the condo deposit. This ended up costing our family a bit more than anticipated.
The small amount of "over payment" was to be returned to us- but to date has not been returned by the condo owner.
Indeed it was a challenge to deal with our first Canadian guest unable to use PayPal during the time the US dollar kept loosing value against the Canadian dollar. Finally at their request, we sent them a Starbucks gift card as our bank would not send a check to Canada. We learned from this experience and now we only accept foreign money payments through PayPal. We now have the capability to refund the deposit directly to the guest's PayPal account.
