Pad across the dark wood flooring and recline on the deep, graphite sofa, or sit at the glass designer’s desk – well lit with an angle lamp so that creative flair can shine. The steam of daylight which pours from the original sash windows reaches to the back of the home, where the kitchen can be found, resplendent in marble and chrome and a range of modern appliances. The bright, white cloakroom makes this space perfect for entertaining guests. Wander next door to the large bedroom, where a beige shag pile rug lies beneath the double bed, and a muted colour palate reigns.
The huge ensuite is similarly high end, with stone floor tiles, a massive walk-in shower and a heated towel rack. Having saved the best till last, ascend to the decked roof terrace for photo opportunities galore against London’s Romanticromantic, slate-roof backdrop.
Fitzrovia’s Charlotte Street is two minutes round the corner, with its elegant period architecture and endless array of fine dining, and, of course, the shopping mecca of Oxford Street is just a stone’s throw away. The rest of London’s London is at your fingertips, too, with Oxford Circus and Tottenham Court Road underground stations both three minutes’ walk up the road.
