This is a real gem of a find - a charming little house tucked away in a quiet cobbled mews just behind Warwick Square. In the 1840s, when the grand houses of the square were built, the horses, carriages and grooms of their occupants were housed these mews properties. These times long past, the now converted mews houses are considered some of the most desirable pied-a-terres in London - not least because of their quiet situation and private parking.
The accommodation is on two floors, it sleeps 4 people in two double bedrooms which share a bathroom. The property comes with parking for one car and has high-speed broadband internet access. Your nearest tube station is Victoria (main-line rail station and tube Victoria, District and Circle lines).
The front door opens onto a small hallway off which is a downstairs (guest) loo, the dining room to the left and the living room to the right.
The living room (21ft6 x 11ft8, 6.55m x 3.55m) is furnished with matching leather 3 seater sofa, 2 seater sofa, two armchairs and puff. Side tables with lamps and a central coffee table complete the furnishings.
There's also a TV (digital channels) + DVD player, stereo system with a collection of CDs and wifi high-speed broadband internet access. A coal-effect gas fire provides a cosy touch in winter.
The dining room (9ft2 x 8ft, 2.8m x 2.45m) is small but elegant, and the polished wooden dining table comfortably seats 6.
The fully fitted kitchen, off the dining room, has all the expected appliances including a microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and separate dryer. There's also a two seater breakfast bar.
Stairs from the living area lead up to the sleeping accommodation. The master bedroom (18ft10 x 11ft8, 5.75m x 3.55m) has a 5ft6 wide double bed and bookshelves with lots of books. Double French windows give onto a narrow balcony that overlooks the mews. There's also a TV - though only for watching DVDs.
The second bedroom (12ft x 8ft, 3.65m x 2.45m) has a 5ft wide bed and also views onto the mews. The bathroom has a second door providing direct access from this bedroom too.
Many who live in SW1 firmly declare that they would never dream of living elsewhere! The area includes smart Belgravia, trendy Pimlico (where the flat is), and stately Westminster - the seat of Government.
The apartment is no more than 5 minutes walk from Victoria Station, a major travel hub with train, tube and bus stations, very convenient for journeys around London and trips out of town. Buckingham Palace and Green Park are just a 10 minutes’ walk and there's a good variety of pubs, cafes and restaurants close by.

We found the house to be charming, comfortable, well furnished, and very convenient for traveling around London. The underground is a five minute walk and a bus to the Westminster area is a two minute walk away. We particularly enoyed being in the Pimlico area with it's many restaurants, pubs, lovely squares and riverside. The only things missing were an iron and ironing board
