Located in a charming private gated Victorian Mews, in the trendy suburban London village of Dalston, this spacious 1 bedroom house provides a contemporary, minimalist and stylish feel throughout and can happily sleep two couples.
The property is uniquely arranged over 3 floors and boasts a fashionable warehouse/ industrial interior and impressively high ceilings.
The downstairs has a utility room with a washing machine.
Up one floor is the bright living/ kitchen/ dining area which makes for a great space for relaxing or entertaining. A stunning feature steel spiral stair case adds a real wow factor to the room and compliments the modern stainless steel bio fire. The kitchen consists of magnificent steel finished units stretching across one wall, along with a statement piece kitchen worktop, which the owner refers to as a long moment of concrete! Again huge windows run all along this wall. Exposed brick walls, wooden floors, modern furnishings and unusual artistic pieces compliment the warehouse style. A smart black arm chair, square shaped squishy cream sofa bed and large dining table and benches, which seat 8, all add to the overall industrial effect. Of particular interest is the finish of the dining and coffee tables with their rusty metal effect and wax coating. A small Juliet balcony leads off from this space.
For entertainment why not relax and enjoy the flatscreen TV or indulge in one of the many books stacked in the bookshelves! There is also use of Wi Fi available.
On the top floor, the master bedroom is similarly spacious and bright including a panel of large windows along one wall leading out onto a terrace which exhibits a nice view. There's ample wardrobe space and a comfortable double bed.
With mellow lighting, original wooden floors and sleek lines the contemporary design continues in the bathroom with a white bath, shower attachment, W.C. and stylish sink and chrome tap unit.
The house is ideally situated for exploring the delights of East London. You're a few minutes from the Kingsland Road and the heart of Dalston with its varied cafes, bars, restaurants, cinema, night-life, shopping mall and daily market. Wander down to 'Pho Mile' for a selection of London's best Vietnamese restaurants. Walk or take a bus to Hoxton Square, Brick Lane, Broadway Market, Columbia Road Flower Market and Islington for more great restaurants and art galleries. Both Dalston Junction and Dalston Kingsland mainline and Overground stations are just a few minutes' walk and from here there are handy connections to Oxford Circus, Hampstead Heath, Canary Wharf, the City and the Stratford (for the Olympic Village) all within 10 -25 minutes. Alternatively, you are well connected on bus routes towards London Bridge, St Paul's and Waterloo station.
