Classic 2 bedroom apartment, Ladbroke Gardens, Notting Hill
This exceptional apartment offers a host of period features including a traditional fire place in the reception room, high ceilings and traditional shutters. The apartment further benefits from hardwood floors and a mezzanine study area.
Ladbroke Gardens is located in the heart of Notting Hill close to the amenities of Westbourne Grove and Portobello Road and Notting Hill Gate. Fine dining, cafes, boutique and antique shops are at your doorstep!
The sitting room benefits from double height ceilings, a large comfortable sofa, a big red leather armchair and a dining table + chairs which open out to the communal gardens. Steps at the back of the room lead up to the second bedroom on the mezzanine level. Here a sofa opens to a double futon bed.
The master bedroom at the front of the apartment is exceptionally bright and comfortable with a double bed, wardrobes, chest of drawers and bedside table. There are shutters on the windows and this room carpeted. The bathroom is en suite and all white. There is a large mirror, bath (with shower attachment), loo and sink. A second door leads out to the hallway, so the bathroom can be used by additional guests.
The kitchen has a granite worktop and is fully equipped with an oven, gas hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine and dishwasher.
When staying in this stylish apartment one simply must visit the beautifully maintained and landscaped gardens. They are the perfect place for a picnic or stroll. Designed in a Hippodrome shape and dating back to 1837, these gardens are beautiful and are positioned right outside your door!
A 3 minute walk from this apartment lands you at Portobello Road, home to Portobello Market, one of the most popular markets for both Londoners and travelers alike. With stalls ranging from antiques to fresh fruit and veg there is something for everyone. Look out for the Travel Bookshop (from the film 'Notting Hill')!
Whilst on Portobello Road, stop for a drink and a bite to eat at the Portobello Star; this bar has been serving the finest drinks and food to Londoners since 1740. With its stylish design and cool atmosphere it is the perfect place to unwind.
The closet tubes are either Holland Park or Notting Hill Gate, just over a 5 minute walk to the Central line. From here, you can reach Bond St in about 10 minutes.
When heading further afield, a 10 minute walk up Ladbroke Grove Road will take you to Ladbroke Grove Underground. With access to the Circle, District and Hammersmith and City line, almost every destination is just a train ride away.
