With space for up to six guests, this sunny three-bedroom vacation home on Lopez Island makes a fantastic retreat for outdoor enthusiasts, a girls' getaway, or just a laid-back family vacation. Its airy and open floor plan makes socializing with a large group easy, while spacious bedrooms and seating nooks give every member of your group a chance to slip away with a good book or to enjoy the views of MacKaye Harbor and the twinkling lights of Victoria across the water.
The kitchen is fully outfitted for the amateur chef in your group, with double ovens, well-stocked cabinets, and all the serve ware you could need to feed a crew of hungry hikers or fishermen after a long day. Choose from the sunny breakfast nook surrounded by windows, or on chilly evenings, the great room's table near the cozy wood burning fireplace stove. Comfortable seating and a well-stocked bookcase will lure you after dinner to linger over one more glass of wine!
On the main floor sits a wonderful master suite with its own fireplace and king-sized bed, along with a private bath. Upstairs, you'll find two large guest rooms (one with a king bed, and one with two twins) that share another full bath with his-and-her sinks. Each bedroom offers wonderful views, especially in the evening as the sun sinks over the harbor.
There's even a charcoal BBQ outside for summer barbecues, and a downstairs gym with a weight machine, exercise bike, and free weights for those who like to stay fit while on vacation. For outdoor enthusiasts, the home is close to the public dock at MacKaye Harbor, making it perfect for kayaking and boating. Access the beach at Agate Beach, or head to Iceberg Point for hiking trails that will keep your heart pumping and your eyes feasting on fantastic views.

Left on 08/22/2013 for a stay in August 2013 | BonnieReviewed Aug 22, 2013Stayed Aug 2013
We settled on this home because we were late in the planning process and high season meant accommodation options were slim. This home worked beautifully for us. It is a bit funky and a throwback to the 70's and 80's in decor, but the kitchen handled the food prep from two foodies and the dining room offered the most amazing views of the harbor and fabulous sunsets. I didn't expect the water views, but found myself gasping once we arrived. Just rearrange the dining room furniture so you can adjust the little couch to face the windows and the views. I spent countless hours in just that spot.
The only store in the south end of Lopez Island is a convenient 15 minute walk away. I happily purchased local organic produce and pastured meats. We hiked, walked and biked the island, picking berries and enjoying the scenery. My husband still talks of the blackberry pie I made thanks to the adequately appointed kitchen.
