So happy to share this little apartment with fellow travelers, seekers and wander lusts.

I have rented the whole apartment in the past, and may do that again, but for now I am going to try something new :) I am offering a room in my little two bedroom here. So I will be here, as I am not traveling this winter. I just want to stay home and enjoy the awesome venice weather and the sunshine that the rest of the country is not getting. I am easy going, do often work from home, but I can also scoot off to a coffee shop or a friends, as I write on this wonderful laptop... and am trying to finish up some projects. SO if you feel like saving a little ...Read more

Additional Location Information

The apartment is a Venice neighborhood-- families, all ages, shapes and sizes. Parking on street is easy, and also parking for one car in garage under the apartment. We are in a special little zone -quiet, but still totally walkable and accessible to everything great about being in Venice! Walk to the beach, about 15 minutes, see famous Venice boardwalk and all the beach pubs and roller skates you can imagine. Also a few blocks from the Venice canals-- great home spotting for the garden lovers and architecture. Abbott Kinney is the melrose of Venice-- amazing street filled with restaurants and shops to die for and several great salons two blocks from here. I have maps, menus, and ideas all here for waiting for you. You will want to make reservations, as this is a very hopping spot-- even for breakfast! Also-- almost forgot to mention-- there is a incredible little theater right across way, little black box, that has some great productions each weekend, with some surprising cast. There is too much to mention, but I do keep a great stack for you with all current events-- including art openings ( personal favorite)
In general Venice is walkable-- but greater LA is not. Rental cars are cheapest from the airport, but if you just need for a day or two there are two rental companies near by that pick up from home. There are buses and a train that goes into downtown from culver city. When you book, if you want help planning an awesome LA adventure, I would be more than happy to help. LA is an awesome city-- but to really see it-- give it some planning as the traffic is no joke! There are incredible canyons, beaches, clubs, galleries, malls, theaters, culture, museums, spas,, music-- LA does actually have it all, yep it does.
Also, don't have a washing machine-- coin laundry a few blocks east of here. Also no TV, who has time? Bring your laptop-- got wifi, easy access, great desk, table in a sunny spot to work, fridge is a old one, but not too noisy! Will leave you some snacks -- but we have a great whole foods, trader joe, and other stores pretty close by to stock up. Kitchen is good to go with all the pots and pans you could need, plates and California vino. No toaster oven, or microwave...
What else?
If you want laundry services and maid, we could hire someone for your stay.... Really, we can make this trip just how you want it.
