Hilltop La Corte Malgiacca Estate- vineyard views, pool & lush grounds
You could use La Corte Malgiacca as a base to explore the Tuscan countryside around the city of Lucca. But given the five-bedroom villas restored interiors, lush gardens, saltwater pool with views of olive groves and vineyards, and chef-worthy kitchen, you might not want to leave. Modern luxuries and style make a stay at this property best for adults and teens over 12 an unforgettable experience.
La Corte Malgiacca has all the comforts of home and then some, from air conditioning and Internet access to a billiards room and open-concept media room with a two-sided fireplace. Large French doors lead you from the common areas to a plush lawn and al fresco dining area. A short stroll through the garden brings you to the saltwater swimming pool, which has an electric cover.
The villa has been restored with respect for original features like its beamed ceilings and stone walls, but an eye to modern touches like an open plan and sleek finishes. The living spaces deftly combine contemporary artwork and seating with traditional accents like antique chests and fireplace surrounds. The homes centerpiece is the eat-in kitchen, which has on-trend open shelving and a professional Lacanche stove.
La Corte Malgiaccas five bedrooms are decorated in restful, neutral shades, and all can be air-conditioned. The master bedroom has a king bed and en-suite bathroom, and there are two bedrooms with double beds and en-suite bathrooms. The fourth and fifth bedrooms have a double bed and two twin beds, respectively, and share a bathroom.
The villas rural location offers peace and quiet, but if you need something to cook on that professional stove, look to the grocery store in the village of Gragnano, just over 2 miles away. A bank and another supermarket are just under 4 miles away in the village of Lunata. For day trips, you can access the highway at Capannori, about 6 miles away, or drive to Lucca, 10 miles away. Pisa and its airport are about 25 miles away.

SWIMMING POOLS - Swimming pools are not open all year. If your rental period is outside the period May 30th to October 3rd, please check with us that the pool can be opened. Swimming pools are not enclosed with fences and there are no lifeguards. Clients use of the swimming pool is at their own risk.
HEATING - Heating is available at an additional charge of 50 Euro per day and must be paid directly on the spot to the owner or his/her representative before departing. Please note that heating in Italy, when not subject to restrictions by the local Government, is more expensive compared to other countries. If you look for a property in low season, make sure to ask for an estimate of the heating cost. You may be asked a supplementary deposit for heating expenses.
WATER AND ELECTRICITY - Please note that most of the properties that we offer are not the typical purpose-built Mediterranean holiday villas. Most are converted farmhouses or former manor houses, full of character and history. Water shortages do occur; please use it sparingly during the summer months. At the same time, Italy is probably one of the few countries in the world where the government has introduced a system of electricity limitators to contain the national consumption. This means you must be careful when using more than one appliance at once because the limitator will shut the electricity off.
INTERNET CONNECTION - Many of our properties have an internet connection. From our experience, when a connection is interrupted due to technical reasons beyond our control, it is unfortunately very difficult, despite our efforts, to receive immediate assistance from some of the internet providers operating in Italy. We therefore strongly suggest that those who need to access their emails should bring their own BlackBerry, or a similar portable device. Please note that in any case we cannot accept responsibility for lack of these services.
LOW SLUNG CARS - VANS MINIBUSES - Most of our houses are located in the countryside. Some of them can be accessed only by unsealed roads and driveways. We therefore advise people intending to take a sports or low-slung car on holiday, to check with us first whether the access to the property allows for such a car. We advise against the use of vans and minibuses. Please always check with us, at the time of booking, if you are planning to use this type of vehicle when staying at one of our properties.
Additional amenities include: pool table, maid, laundry facility, alfresco dining, electric pool cover....Read more

The villa was restored few years ago with good taste , with modern equipment but kept the toscan nature of it. the villa is well equiped with up to day techno, kitchen is fully equiped to cook as a restaurant. You don't feel, like very often happen, that the owner hide everything in a secret room. - Maxime L., Quebec, Canada

The villa was stunning - the setting was beautiful and the villa was first class in every respect. It was luxurious but in an elegant and accessible manner. The bedrooms and bathrooms were well appointed. The kitchen was perfect for a house full of cooks. We had terrific fun cooking with the excellent gourmet appliances and facilities. The salt water pool was used everyday and lawn furniture was also first class. It was a terrific villa experience. - Jayne W., Ontario, Canada

Our house was even more beautiful than the pictures on the site, we had an amazing view and there was not one negative we could find about the house. Everything was taken care of as promised and we had all of our needs met, before and during our stay. We have all decided already to come back and if ever we would rent another house we would be sure to regard your site first. Thanks for everything, it really was a fantastic week.
