Historic Lummi Island Cabin on the Water! The is a wonderful affordable getaway with views of Mt. Baker and the Lummi Island ferry as it goes back and forth. By the water is a lawn great for lounging and enjoying the views. The main portion of the cabin was built around 1903 and is believed to be one of the original cannery homes. It has been added on to since that time but still retains the basic cabin feel. The knotty pine walls in the main room are the original as is the painted wood plank floor. Located on the east side of the island with views of Mt. Baker, Hales Passage and the ferry crossing. It is a waterfront home with a cove for a small boat or kayak. Ask about a mooring buoy. Hiking, bike riding and walking the nature trails are all fun things to do on the island. The home is within walking distance of the ferry dock, restaurants and grocery store. There are 2 wine tasting rooms for your enjoyment. Artists wares are available at the grocery store but if you come during Memorial Day or Labor Day weekends you can join the artists tour where numerous items from pattery to bronze scultures to furniture made from recycled wine barrels are available. Bike rents are also available - please inquire when you make your reservation.
