Our beautiful vacation home is only 20 feet from the golden sand at Kanai a Nalu! From our quiet end unit, you see the ocean from two sides. Both bedrooms, the LR/DR, and kitchen all have great ocean views! Since the lanai and the living/dining room and master bedroom walls of windows face south, you can see the sun rise over majestic Haleakala, and watch it set over the West Maui hills, or gaze over the waves to Kahoolawe, Molokini and Lanai! In late November/early December, the humpback whales migrate from Alaska to their Hawaiian winter home, with Maalaea Bay their favorite playground! From our condo you'll watch them breach and slap, and teach their young the ways of whaledom.
But it is not only the spectacular beachfront location and glorious views of ocean, mountain, and whales that set our condo apart. We have gone to great lengths to provide as many of the comforts and conveniences of home as possible. After buying our place, we remodeled it and installed split system air conditioning so all of the rooms have climate control. Full air conditioning is hard to find on Maui, yet so important!
In our kitchen is all you'll need to prepare gourmet meals: full-sized refrigerator/freezer, full stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffeemaker, rice cooker, food processor/blender, toaster, cookware for everything from a Thanksgiving turkey to stir fry, as well as indoor and outdoor tableware, including special occasion items. Full sized washer and dryer, too!
Our living room is spacious and decorated in tropical style, with an abundance of comfortable seating. The sectional couch contains a queen sofa bed for use when more than four guests stay in the condo. There is a wall-mounted large screen HD LCD TV with a wide range of cable channels, as well as a VCR and DVD player, for your enjoyment during "down time" from the great Maui Outdoors. Directly outside the living room is our private covered lanai overlooking the surf, furnished with table and chairs for al fresco dining, whale watching or star gazing.
Perfect for families with school aged children, or for two couples, each of our bedrooms has its own bathroom. The master bedroom, with spectacular ocean views on two sides, offers a brand new top-rated, super comfortable king-sized bed, and master bath with step-in shower. The ocean view guest bedroom has twin beds which can be made up as a king; the guest bathroom offers a tub/shower combination. Both bathrooms have grab bars in the showers. Both bedrooms have closets, dressers, and wall-mounted LCD HD TVs with cable. The guest bedroom has DVD/VCR players and family friendly videos. Both bedrooms are furnished with all linens, including adult and child sized guest bathrobes. Bathroom linens and beach towels are also provided, as is a range of beach equipment including umbrellas, chairs, coolers, etc..
Throughout the condo, you will find original artwork and decorator touches. A recent guest told us she had never before found such a combination of beauty and comfort in a vacation condo!
Our resort is beautifully landscaped, with tropical flower gardens, grassy lawns sweeping down to the beach, solar heated fresh water pool, barbecue, picnic/lounging areas beside the ocean, and of course the beach and ocean right out front! There are two elevators in the building, making access easy for everyone, and parking is free.
Our location is among Maui's most convenient-- 15 minutes to the airport, and an easy drive to the rest of the resort coast from Kaanapali to Wailea. The Maui Ocean Center, Maalaea Marina, the lovely Harbor Shops, a family fun center, and a number of wonderful restaurants are within walking distance. Our area of Maui is the driest and sunniest on Maui, with the tradewind breezes keeping things comfortable.

What more can I say, 20 feet from the ocean. Quiet condo complex but so close to everything. 100 yards up the beach you can swim with the turtles as they are feeding around the rocks. All the condo owners are very nice to talk to around the pool. Michele and Dave are great to work with and will answer all your questions. The place is well maintained and up to date. Much better location and condo that any of the high end resorts. Will recommend to all our friends and family.

We spent ten beautiful days at this condo. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay on our first visit to Maui. We loved how Ma'alaea was in the center of the Island and was easy access to all the other towns in Maui. There were many days spent on the beach out front of the condo. The lanai was amazing to sit and watch all the whales in the harbor. There were many early mornings sitting and relaxing watching the sunrise come up over haleakala volcano. We came to love how relaxed the Island is. Nobody seemed to ever be in a rush which was nice. We met a lot of nice people at the condo and around the Island. Thank you again!We created many great memories. Thank you for all the helpful advice.

I was very fortunate to find this condo among the many offered in Maui. I read the reviews of about seven condos before choosing this one. Michele's pre-visit support, and information was exceptional. The information offered is accurate, the people who are permanent residents in the condo facility are welcoming and kind, the area is quiet but close to lots of things to do.
I would go back to this condo in a minute, everying is as described, the energy in the condo is excellent, very peaceful space, the owners are so easy to work with, do yourself a favor and choose this condo if you are visiting Maui. If my travel plans take me to Maui again, you can be sure I will contact the owners immediately to check availability. The Myersons are wonderful to work with and we consider ourselves blessed to have had the opportunity to share their home.

This condo is absolutely beautiful. It is on the corner of the building so the views are wonderful. It also has aC throughout, which we didn't need because there was always a good breeze through the condo. It was very peaceful and relaxing. This is the cleanest condo we have ever rented. Michele was always available to answer any questions I had before my trip. I would definitely recommend this condo. It has a well equipped kitchen - everything you would possibly need. It is on the 2nd floor right next to the steps - very handy if you do not want to walk around the outside corridor to the elevator.

We travel a lot, and we absolutely love 201 Kanai a Nalu. It's right on the beach, much closer to the water than any of the super expensive hotels we've stayed at. It is so wonderful to wake up and go to sleep listening to the waves break--you can see and hear the ocean from the whole condo. The beds are comfortable--there are TVs in both bedrooms and big screen in the living room, so my four year old can watch his programs and my wife and I can watch our foreign films. The kitchen has essentially the same equipment we have at home to fix exactly what we want to eat (restaurants are great, but not for every meal). This entire condo is air conditioned. We love the outdoor bbq grills right by the ocean and the pool--so relaxing. There's a looong beach just out the door that is just breathtaking. We walk it early in the morning or in the late afternoon to watch the sunset. We love boogie boarding and snorkeling right outside the condo; the beach has soft sand and easygoing surf. Last thing: this place is clean. Some of the other places we've stayed have some soot on the walls from the cane burning, but these guys figured out a way to keep all the walls and furniture totally clean.

Our regular and discounted rates range from $175- $375 USD per night. Exact rate will depend upon season, precise rental dates, length of stay, and occupancy. Hawaii state taxes, departure cleaning fee, refundable security/damage deposit, and extra person fees for more than 4 guests (and for more than 2 guests for couple's special rates) are additional. Please note that Flip Key's new rate display system prevents us from displaying accurate information about extra person fees, as we can only choose to display the charge as either not applying at all or applying to more than two guests in all seasons. Extra person fees are assessed on your entire stay, even if your extra guests are staying for only part of the stay. Please contact us with your dates of interest, and the number of adults and children in your party for an exact itemized quote of our best possible pricing for your stay. Rental deposit due at the time of reservation (5 night courtesy hold available), with full payment due 90 days prior to arrival. Please note that the Christmas/New Years holidays are rented in blocks from 12/14-12/29, or from 12/29- 1/10, with a 12 night minimum stay required in either block. If you prefer to stay during both holidays, a minimum stay of 16 nights (not just two weeks-- again, a problem with Flip Key's display) applies, at a rate of $315 plus taxes per night. Shorter full holiday season stays may under certain circumstances be accepted, but stays of fewer than 16 nights will be charged at a rate of $375 plus taxes per night. If "extra" holiday season nights are available between our longer bookings, they are rented at a rate of $375 plus taxes per night to those who need only one to several days. We offer discounting from standard rates only (no discounting off special rates) in lower demand seasons for stays of a month or longer, so please contact us if you are interested in a long stay. Depending on our rental calendar, late checkout or early check-in may be available, but these require owner approval and depend on our availability. They are unlikely to be available for high, holiday, or summer season rentals. If you know in advance that you will want to check in early, or check out late, the night before your arrival or the night of your departure will need to be included in your rental arrangement, and will be charged to your stay.
Additional fees may apply:
- extra person fee | 15 USD per day | per person per day for duration of rental for fifth and sixth guests for regular rates; per person per day for duration of rental for additional guests beyond the first two for couple's special rates. Guests beyond first four (or two for couples' rates) must be preapproved. If unauthorized guests are found to be staying at the condo during any part of rental period, the charge will be $30 per extra person per night for the duration of the rental
