This was my 5th stay at Surf Song, and all have been a pleasure. The rooms are not new, but very well kept, very clean and comfortable. With the rooms having a full kitchen, you can eat well, eat what you want and not break the bank. The owners of the individual units decorate and update on a regular basis, keeping them fresh. The location is outstanding, with John's Pass across the street, there are plenty of places to eat and entertain that are a very short walk out the door. Behind you is beautiful sugar sand and the Gulf facing west, making for spectacular sunsets virtually every night. The staff is friendly and helpful, the cleaning service is dutiful and efficent.
Based on the surrounding accomidation pricing, this is an outstanding value that affords you the chance for a longer stay.
I will most certainly be a ongoing customer to Surf Song, and have recommended this location to my friends that travel this area.

We have stayed a few times. We go to Florida every year and enjoy the comforts of home which resort gives. We look forward to going again and hopig to get unit here again. John's Pass is across the street so you can actually walk to restaurants and shops. St. Pete and Clearwater only a short drive.

We enjoyed our stay tremendously. Everything was as it should be in a family vacation: the comfort, convenience, accommodation, and hospitality were just right. We loved the layout, space, and furnishings of our unit. The view, albeit from the side, did not disappoint. I would recommend this condo, especially unit 345, to anyone looking for a fantastic abode away from home.

I have been going to the Surf Song since I was a little kid. The whole property is in a great location. Our room could stand with some new flooring. The carpet felt a bit grungy and there were some stains in the bedroom. Otherwise top knotch experience

Condo 345 needed a thorough cleaning. Vent in bathroom was full to overflowing of dust. Bedroom needed a good vaccuming---around bed and corners were full of dust and dirt. Glass door was broken in bedroom and was not fixed during our stay...even though it was reported. Not enough towels and facecloths. We never use the comforters because we feel they are not washed between one check out and out check in. The balcony wasn,t washed. If these things were done before checkin, then a light cleaning would be fine. I feel something needs to be done about that. I remember one year some time ago, I cleaned the whole apt. when I checked in. I should have complained then, but I just couldn't stay in that dirt overnight. Also, the carpett needs to be torn up and replaced with a washable surface.
The location of Surf Song is perfect, and the office staff are always very friendly and courteous. It s pleasure to walk into the office. So my worst complaint is uncleanness.
I have recommended the surf song to many of my friends from Newfoundland and yes they are stayed there and continued to go back until they bought their own condo.
Management was astounded to recieve this low review, based mostly it seems on cleaning issues. Please see the previous 6 reviews on this property. Every single review mentions "clean" or "very clean". Browse all other Surf Song and Sunhost reviews and you will see the same thing.
None of these "cleanliness" issues was presented to management during either stay. Occasionally during very busy times, some things are missed. When brought to our attention, they are fixed asap.

This property was well appointed, very comfortable, clean and appliances in excellent condition. The view from the room and from the balcony was unobstructed and beautiful. A mirror is placed over the sofa and you can see the gulf by looking in the mirror. We would definitely stay here again.

We were there Dec 17-29. The condo #345 was very nice, new furniture, very comfortable and very clean. We had a side oceanview, which was good. Being a sun lover I should have thought about renting a front oceanview to enjoy the sun all day on the balcony, as well as a broader oceanview. Beach is very beautiful, pool very clean and quite a few long chairs facing the beach. Price reasonable and personnel very friendly and ready to help. Happy there was an elevator. Would definitely recommend. Location is perfect, across John's Pass Mall where you find lots of souvenir shops, a beautiful store not to miss: Lady in Brass, and lots of restaurants and Ice Cream parlours. Further down the street, went to a Grecko Restaurant: bad choice,it's always empty, felt like owner tries to sell you more and although he advertises cheap prices, it ends up being very expensive and food not that fresh... Ocean was icy cold, but went swimming 3 times. You an also see dolphins jumping out, early morning 7:30am and around 4:30pm. Suggest to rent a car and visit around.

I have been staying at the Surf Song Restort for the past 8 years and there is no other place I would even consider staying at while on the Gulf in Florida. The property is so clean and comfortable. It's my home away from home.
