Absolutely recommend to everyone - the apartment was an experience of it's own! Very comfortable, extremely well equipped, great location and of course - amazing service from the owner. I loved the place - it was true home for me and my family.
Things a particularly liked:
- design. it is a not just an apartment - it is carefully made place that is interesting to stay in on top of simply being comfortable
- caring service. The owner has been extremely caring and took a great deal of attention to have everything perfectly organised. Exceeded my expectations.
- location. having 3 metro station within maybe 5-7 min walk is very useful wherever you need to go in madrid. The apartment is surrounded by a number of excellent places to eat , few supermarkets, fish shop, bakery and even a pastry/chocolate boutique from an award winner pastry chef! I would go back there for these cakes only! (it is on the corner of General Pardinas and Ortega Gasset so you know)
- lay out. i liked te fact that the bedrooms were located on the opposite side of the place - allows privacy. The apartment also is generally very spacious and is very well suitable for a large family or even two families.
-amenities and equipment. As said - it had everything you could possibly need. Kitchen equipment was amazing! And i loved the beds! very comfortable.
All in all - big big thanks! I had a wonderful time

General pardinas at Plaza Marquez de Salamanca is a very well set up apartment. It is in a nice area of Madrid with metro close by.
Karen has compiled an easy to read information package for her clients. Rules and regulations of the apartment block is explicit.
The apartment is equipped with every facility one can have in a home. She has left no stone unturned,
We were able to 'live' in the apartment, absorp the local culture and still enjoy visiting the 'tourists' sights of Madrid. Karin made herself available whenever you needed her, recommended very good restaurants when asked and even where one can get lovely maternity clothes!
She does not book clients back to back, so your departure is at your leisure. All you have to do is inform her the date and time. The cleaners will come in after so you will not be bothered.
She has made our stay and our enjoyment of Madrid so very pleasant, I would not hesitate to recommend her apartment to anyone else. Even when we did not have good weather at that time!!
“Executive apartment (great for families too) with super host and”

The apartment was as great in real life as it looked from the pictures. We travelled with our toddler and there was everything we needed for her and she loved all the space (as did we). Wonderful furniture and fittings (amazing shower!); it certainly has the air of a designer apartment. Karin was a great host, very helpful when we had questions but not intrusive at all. We really felt right at home very quickly which isn't always easy with children in tow! The only point I would mention is wooden floors throughout make for noisy neighbours meaning you can easily hear footsteps etc from upstairs so I would recommend a good pair of earplugs if a light sleeper. The windows however are excellent and little noise can be heard from the street below, which is a relatively quiet one anyway given the location. We would definitely recommend and stay again.

I took my family to Madrid for the first time for New Years and I am truly in awe on how amazing this apartment was. The description was as stated and the best part was our landlord Karin Wallis. I have never received treatment like this in my life. She was extremely attentive and every request was done. The apartment was equipped with everything needed for a family, couples and kids. Very central to everything. We will be back to Madrid and stay here again. Thanks Karin!!

We just came back from a lovely long weekend in Madrid. We were very unfortunate with the weather as it was rainy and cold however we were very fortunate with our choice of accommodation as this property is just perfect in every way: We arrived very late but there was no problem with the check in and Karin was prompt waiting for us at the property with a pre-arrival shopping we had ask for. The property is sparkling clean and the only hard time we had was to choose between the two master bedrooms to see in which one we were going to sleep! The location is the best as it is centrally situated in the very elegant district of Salamanca and with everything close at hand. We also like Karin´s policy of check out whenever it suits you as we had a late flight home and were very happy to be able to make the most of the apartment in on our last day. We shall certainly come back to this apartment when we next visit Madrid!

We had such a wonderful stay at Karin's place in Madrid! I personally loved the location and the flat itself was superb. I loved the decor and how comfortable everything was. Karin had put us some Christmas decorations, which especially the kids loved. It was a bit like having a second home in Spain! Everything in general went smoothly and I was well impressed by her speedy replies to my countless questions. It can be a little nerve wrecking getting everything organized from over seas, but needless to say, there was nothing we lacked during our stay in the beautiful Madrid!

We have just come back from a lovely 2 weeks in Spain. We travelled extensively and stayed in different apartments but one of the highlights of our trip was our stay in Madrid at this beautiful apartment.
Karin gave us a lovely welcome; arranged for a pre-arrival shopping as we were arriving late-ish on a Sunday evening.
The property has a great location as it is situated in the stylish "Barrio of Salamanca", surrounded by embassies and some of the best shops in Madrid. It is situated between two undergrounds and 5 bus lines hence handy to get into the old part of town. The property is new and nicely looked after. Well decorated and comfortable and felt very much like home.
The property has a great fish monger, meat shop and fruit shop right across the street and a very handy supermarket around the corner that is open 6 days a week from 9.00 to 22.00 making shopping and staying at this property particularly easy.
Karin has ample information at the property of what to visit, when and where and she is also very helpful at giving this information at the check in. We were also impressed with the wonderful collection of books she has, including a useful atlas and novels for all ages and tastes. She also provides a lovely selection of CD´s and DVD´s (especially entertaining for the kids).
We enjoyed our stay very much and would without a doubt stay at this apartment again when we come back to Madrid. Thank you Karin for making our stay so special.
